Trust me if the Islander boys from Manly won’t play in that jersey then the Islander boys from the Roosters wouldn’t either
    I disagree.

They wouldn't disrespect Robbo and their teammates in such a fashion.

    Its not the Roosters way.

As he said, it's been spoken about and I'm sure the players are clear about their expectations.

Keep out of the headlines & play sport & avoid issues which divide people. The Roosters are a sports team not a political party.
I'll respectfully disagree and side with Robbo 100% on this one.

I dunno why you think I'm upset about the jersey??
I don't believe in god............or the tooth fairy.
All I said was Manly handled this appallingly, and their timing was off.

Who exactly is "penalising" Manly? Their own players?
I think you could say they are hoist by their own petard.

How would you feel if that try was the difference in us missing the 8 or Manly making the 8 over us on for & against?

Oh no Robbo's gone Woke as some on here will now be saying - 101% behind Robbo

“It is great what the owners of Manly have decided to do and it is unfortunate that it has panned out this way because everyone is equal, no matter what race, gender, sexual preference, everyone is equal,” Robinson said.

“Let people make their choice and let’s not discriminate against those, and we are still doing that, and that is why it is unfortunate".

“And for us in 2022 to not be inclusive and not say it is OK to be who you are is unacceptable

“We need to move towards a better place... I want to say that we are inclusive, we do accept you for who you are and we care about you, and we need to move forward in that way.”

I think if an anonymous poll was done among the playing group it could suprise people. Might be majority yes or majority no. Don't assume, nobody knows what everyone thinks.

Sorry, can't agree with that. This is not a political issue but a society issue. The Roosters are part of society and I think its good he has got on the front foot with our players about it.

I don't think he lectured anyone but very strongly gave his opinion. As for avoiding issues which divide people, sport is one of the biggest divisive issues we have. You only have to look at the rivalry between Easts and Souths for evidence of that. Then you have SOO which is founded on and continues to encourage the divide.

we should beat manly by plenty tomorrow and make it very hard for them to overtake us but if we did concede the early try - and remember, it's not going to happen, i'm only riffing - then i would be disappointed that we didn't win when we should have won by plenty but would be proud of us doing the right thing. but i don't think conceding an early try would cost us on the scoreboard - it would even the moral ledger, take the emotion out of the game and help us to put them away big time, with a clear conscience.

but it comes back to whether or not you support manly's stance - if you don't then you're not going to agree

Robbos words were he spoke to the team openly about this and they would 100% wear such a jersey - didn't you read the article that Tommy attached?

Their jersey issue is their problem & not ours. It's not our problem who they put opposite us. If they want to derail their season due to stupid management decisions then that's their problem.

I'm sure giving up a try would go down fantastically with the NRL & betting agencies.
I’m sure the 7 religious nutters will be delighted at a betting agency being screwed over …

let's take a moment to lament the grave injustice done to the betting agencies. my heart bleeds for them

I understand what you are saying but these are his personal opinions which should be left after the footy season is over. He is paid to coach footy. Why haven't any other coaches come out in support.

what next from him? His opinion on the War in Ukraine,? the rise of China?, High inflation?

Once our season finishes he can talk all he wants.
