Any update on Angus ?

Just wondering if anyone has heard any news, rumours or updates about Angus and his future ?


I know as August 1 is a few days away, some clubs in the past have used August to make announcements so they can set their focus on finals footy without any distraction or noise.



I haven't heard anything new so I'm just wondering if anyone here has

The last I heard was that the Eels, Tigers and Storm were talking to him and his manager. Impasse at the Roosters in registering his contract as funds are tight and the salary cap is unknown until the CBA is finalised as the current ones expires this year.

You’d assume it’s inevitable before he gets the extended contract though. With Sitili out for a possible 12 months with the ACL injury, other than Butcher (x2), we don’t have many options in that spot. Hypothetically, if he left, maybe Radley and Butchers in the 2R spots, Smith to 13 and Verrills @ 9. That’s just a worse case scenario because I’m under the impression BS has come to play 9, and Verrills will be on his way out.

He has been sensational ever since being recalled into the Origin Squad. Solid last night in defence and his runs were really good and strong.

If he was on $350k I’d agree. But for what he’s on he needs to be a lot better.
