  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Sea Eagles

I do enjoy Thursday night footy. An opportunity to get the weekend off to a great start. A chance to sit back and watch the others teams bash the crap out of one another and the advantage of early recovery.

Tonight at Campbelltown by The Sea, we need to continue to build on our performances of previous weeks. I don’t care who’s in or out for them. They are still Manly and we hate Manly.

If we are complacent we win by 20. If we aren’t we could put on a huge score. Let’s defend well and as Robbo would say, “Play Roosters footy.”

Hope to see you out there.

    GO ROOSTERS!

This is still a danger game.
Manly have named a strong side despite missing the seven religious boys, and are hard to beat at Brookvale.
Our recent form has been good, and will have to be to counteract the effect of the dreaded game managers.
    We have to win.

    Easts 46 Sea-vermin 12

    That'll do.

Hope to see a continuation of the direct style of play we have shown over the past few weeks. Soften them up through the middle the put them to the sword. No mercy.

The boys no what's at stake so expect them to turn up and the Roosters to win handsomely. Non pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for the Eagles tonight..

      Up the Roosters!

Come on mate, they haven't named a strong side at all. If we don't win and win comfortably we clearly don't deserve to make the 8. DCE is going to have to run the ball heaps, there is zero creativity in their backline. Teddy will be rested, Manu 2 tries and 4 try assists

We will need to be at our best because these dribblers have there back against the wall.Any complacency and we will get rolled .As usual if the forwards turn up and smash them we will win .Go Roosters

So you’re not expecting Manu to contribute heavily?

we'll concentrate on ourselves and play our footy whatever the other mob throws up. esp looking to see how keary, walker, teddy and manu combine in attack - if they get it right we'll be lethal. also looking for nat butcher to get comfortable on the edge - losing sitili is a loss but nat has a chance to show us what he's got and he might tighten up the defence a bit

Let's hope we don't have one of those 55% completion games to give them the slightest sniff.
