Best to get a bad game out of the way against weaker opposition than get belted by someone above us and then lose confidence. At least we’re still in it and destiny is in our own hands.
That’s probably the worst we’ve played all season so hopefully it’s out of the way until R1 next year!
Yeah wow where did that call come from( the forward pass) probably the worst incorrect call I've seen. On field ref surely didn't call that?

        Yep............I couldn't believe that.
Seems to happen to us on a regular basis.

Yeah, he didn't find any "ruck infringements " against them...................but I agree that we got a better deal from the game manager than normal. Except that forward pass call.

The reffing was the highlight for me. If the ref stays out and refs fairly, min 6 agains and pot plant penalties we win games....simple. Hope Atkins gets the top billing but I fear the politics with refs administration might prevent that.

Lodge - thankfully some great recruitment landed him here because he is just what we need. Bends the line, makes his tackles and doesn't make mistakes.
JWH - was JWH which is immense with some really dumb stuff thrown in.
Teddy was good as always but not his usual brilliant.
I thought Rads was good because we were just trying to go around them all night too soon and he was one of the few trying to straighten the attack up.
              Manu good as was Conner.
JS - what happened to him this week - poor game - ran sideways and lined himself up to be picked off multiple times - I love this kid because he doesn't do that? Passed to Teddy a couple of times when he just should have carted it up - it was like he was trying to protect himself.
Momo maybe stuck first contact in making a tackle once all game - he is a liability so badly in defence. Unfortunately the coach doesn't see any other options.
Verrills had a good game - he has really come back well. Good for him and us.

Really hard to be positive from that game and this was the best I could do.
Hard to argue with that pretty accurate analysis, yeah Suualli had an off game offensively but he made some crucial reads in defence I’ll give him a pass mark.
Momo- hate bagging the bloke wears our colours but gee whiz everyone has missed tackles in them, but this bloke is just bad, so bad gets bumped off almost every time, can’t afford to miss tackles out wide almost always leads to points conceded, Staggs will give him a bath, just put Hutch/Connor or even someone from the crowd there.

              • Can’t believe their is no, “Where to for Collins Thread”. I guess this disregard shows how little we think of him.

Harsh but we really get no value out of this bloke. Shame he’s signed up for the next decade.

                I wish him well soon.

Who missed more tackles last night? Momo or Manu? King?

Don't you mean bums against the wall mentality?

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

                    • I fear Momo vs Staggs Rd2 next week. Didn't end well the first time. Never want to bag a bloke who does his best and represents the RWB with his demeanour and character but FMD he is so low on confidence its scary. He got bumped off horribly by that no-name centre for Newcastle last week and then the same against Manly last night. Just scary how bad he is at defending one-on-one, especially considering he is known as somewhat of a defensive specialist.

I think he was absolutely awesome in the early rounds of 2020 (I think), the year he did his knee in. Since then but, unless he's wearing Maroon he's been pretty lacklustre. Always good for a loose carry, doesn't bend the line as much and always seems gassed after 2 runs.

You are right, I don't think him being out is that great of a loss to us when you consider SST coming back in and Lodge playing well.

With all that said, was a sickening hit for him last night and hope and pray he is OK with no ramifications going forward.

The linesman was brother Sutton whilst G Sutton was in the box.

4 each. Sammy was worst with 6.

Suaalii made 3 and missed 3. I wonder if he was carrying a niggle.

yeah, the manly bloke punched the ball out when we unsuccessfully challenged but 'there was no stripping motion' so play on

Joey has more intent on putting a big hit on then making a tackle.
