  • credit to manly, they were great. we did some good things but way too many errors and a couple of bad defensive efforts letting in tries. just glad we got the 2

We won’t play like this against the Broncos, just won’t happen..

Also they reported on Ch9 tonight that SST will be back next week!

      • I don't know, seemed pretty distracted. Pretty much according to plan in the first half, and then very, very poor in the second. I don't think we would have played like this without all the drama this week, but definitely should've done better. And credit to Manly for playing tough for 80 minutes.
One way or another, we'll know our top 8 aspirations next week against the Broncos. The last three games were games we were always going to win.

In regards to next week though, I wouldn't be surprised if we're down JWH, Collins and E.Butch. If SST is still not back, I've got no idea who is going to play in the middle alongside Lodge.

        • Manu and Lodge our best.

          • An emotional game for Manly, always hard to play against, we did enough but if we are to progress Momarovski has to go (Hutch on) and Rads needs to lift. Keep throwing the ball around boys, looks good. At least we won't die wondering.

Him and Lodge were the only positives I took out of that game, atrocious 2nd half.

The inference is only how you see it. Kind of like one of those pics where say ‘can you see a face or tree in this image’.

They usually label you after you choose one or the other! Hhhmmmmmmm?

Yep. In a way there was no point thrashing Manly. Save the better efforts when it matters, like next week.

Tonight was a classic recipe for a sh!thouse performance.

                  • Win is a win as always but that has gotta be one of the worst games of footy in general i've seen in a long while. Manly were obviously diabolical and couldn't score with $50 in a brothel.

Really really poor from us. Looked like 15th vs 16th in Round 26. Both teams lacked cohesion, confidence and clinical finishing. The worry is, Manly had a valid reason, we did not.

                        • completion rates aren't everything.
Can never take a risk, never try moves running at pace...and have perfect completion rates.

but, our completion rates do need to be better.

You need high set completions nowadays as you put your defence under pressure and fatigue otherwise which then has a flow on affect to an increase in errors/ missed tackles and ill discipline.

The Roosters were poor with a 62% completion rate along with 17 errors and 39 missed tackles - Penrith are number 1 in set completions and 16th in errors - Roosters 4th in errors and 13th in set completions - that was up to round 19.

                              • we always look so frantic in attack?, sometimes seems to be a total lack of structure, im all for free flowing footy , but do we maybe push it a bit to far?
