Mickey, I agree about smiths stupid use of interchange by the clock. He is hopeless.

But I don't agree about arona being a ball player. That's hilarious mate.

And symonds was one of our better players today. That prob means he'll get dropped next week because you can't play well in our team & stay in first grade, Anthony Mitchell knows that well

He is no tight forward a battering ram, he is not an edge runner either. I see him running with the ball out in front trying to promote 2nd phase play.

To hell with it, if we're going to play like that we might as well blood some youngsters that actually have a chance of making it. Moga in for Leilua, Evans or Bosden in for Arona, Tagive or Henry to the wing as Maubs goes back to the 2nd row, FPN gets the sack.

This is the issue I have at the moment, developing Leilua on the wing isn't going to achieve anything.

There's a few other positional and personnel issues I have with the team atm and makes it very hard to continually support the fact that this should be a re-building year but again it looks like another season where it's 1 step forward 2 back.

Partially true but a recruitment strategy based solely on buying youngsters can only result in complete failure. All along I have believed POS went with this strategy to prolong his employment on huge dollars where little return can be expected in a short period of time.. His time is up imo.

POS role may as well just be re-named junior recruitment officer.

The coach & board/ceo (in some circumstances, certainly ours) have the majority of say in the recruitment of senior players. I think it's harsh to judge POS on something he probably has very little say in.

But Mickey, that's the problem with arona. He's not a ball player either, I don't recall him offloading or passing much. He's really got nothing to his game for this level other than a guaranteed penalty each week. It's no wonder why penrith didn't want him a few years ago.

We don't recruit senior players.. He would be the highest paid junior recruitment officer going around. He was extremely successful at the Storm as they had the biggest budget and still do. I don't think he has many runs on the board at the Roosters.
