  • Race for the top 8

The old one game at time comes in play but teams wanting to play finals have to keep winning and have results in other games go their way as well.

Teams could well get a leg up if Playing Penrith in these next 5 weeks- I assume Penrith will change their playing style to be more defence orientated and grinding out wins

NRL Ladder predictor - I have come up with either 28 or 30 points to finish 8th - 28 points would be for and against territory

Round 20 games to play - Sharks vs Rabbitohs / Dragons vs Cowboys / Broncos vs Tigers/ Titans vs Raiders

    Upcoming matches

Round 21 games - Roosters vs Broncos / Storm vs Titans/Sea Eagles vs Eels / Rabbitohs vs Warriors/ Raiders vs Panthers/Sharks vs Dragons / Bulldogs vs Cowboys

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Cowboys - 30 - Bulldogs/Roosters/Warriors/Rabbitohs/Panthers - 34 points - 3 50-50 games

As long as we aren't relying on other results to make the finals we are safe. Just keep winning. We have already beaten the Cows and Drongos. Despite their success this year we have the squad to beat them again over the next 2 rounds. Beat the tigpies, and there's the 28 points we need. Melb and Souffs are the danger games. But we will have too much to play for come round 26, I reckon we beat the Vermin as well.

Hoping the sharks have taken their horse pills and are up to touch up the Vermin tonight. Then we are only 2 points behind Souffs with a superior F/A.

I think we are competing with Raiders for that last semi spot and they have an easy draw. The one hard game they have is against the Panthers and now they are lucky enough to come up against them next week without either of their halves ....Ricky should go buy himself a lottery ticket !

Roosters v Broncos is s far as Im looking. If the Roosters win things will continue to fall into place. No need to be trying to predict which games you think the Chooks will win & who finishes on 28 or 30.
Everything will work out for the Chooks if we all just concentrate on the Broncos & get the win. Dont worry about that we can drop 2 games & hope other teams lose the Roosters have to win next week full stop.
The Chooks are on a roll after beating 3 teams below them so its now time to see if they are fair dinkum. If the Chooks dont beat the Broncos they are NO CHANCE of winning the comp if the Roosters do beat the Broncos there is still hope.

Yes they have destiny in their own hands but results in other games are important.

Raiders for instance go to 22 and finish with Penrith/Dragons/ Knights/Sea Eagles/ Tigers -2 winnable games plus they play an under strength Panthers side / Dragons and Manly who could well be out of contention when they play them - possible 32 points on offer - Raiders losing to both Penrith and Manly would help the cause

28 may not be enough or go down to for and against if 28 is it.

Mate, you said it yourself. Their destiny is still in their own hands. As long as Easts keep winning they make the 8. Nothing else matters.
If we drop 2 games then worry about the other teams. Until then back the boys to win. The other maths doesn't matter for the time being

Raiders are the danger for us making the 8, they have a pretty soft draw
Huge game for us this week, Broncs pack have played good footy all year

Raiders have it way too easy. Shame Parra was gifted 2 points last night.

Agree, and as an aside, could Fox stop playing the Alex Johnston promo every half hour! I’m so over seeing it and hearing Matt Nable.

our best game of the year was vs the bronx. I was convinced they played better than us and we somehow won. I’m sure they’ll remember that game and will be right up for it.
