  • Time for another Nat Butcher thread

What a contribution he makes every week, all over the park. Now he's becoming an attacking threat as well, to go with his cracking defense and linking play. Underappreciated in some quarters, but I doubt Robbo underappreciates him. Never ever is there a quick play the ball when he is the main tackler. He's very high quality.

He won’t miss the tackles Sitilli misses and he won’t drop the ball anywhere near as much. I appreciate his service but I just want him to get agro and fire up!

His attitude & effort is what gets him there.
I agree with you that he's not that dynamic big charging mofo who plays it dirty, rough, hard but his effort & attitude to all the 1 percenters is top notch. He rarely makes mistakes or give penalties away.

N Butcher is an 80 minute player who gives 100% every game he plays. Not a big forward by modern standards @ 183cm and 97kg but the type of player every team needs. Closing in on 100 NRL games for the Roosters (96 games currently ).

I just wish he would bring back his offload that he was known for when younger.

I think as a team they are offloading more this second half of the season than they have ever done - Certainly not known as an offloading team so maybe things have changed in the thinking of the coaching staff - gone from 16th to 6th in offloads from the half way mark of the season.

Now for more running and kicking from dummy half.

Does he? Whilst some of our other fowards had lost their heads on Friday night and were off their game Nat just put in his typical 80minutes, no nonsense team first performance.

                      Balance is key.

I agree, but see one issue with his game, particularly when he's playing 13... he never passes...

                          Great stats. Thanks!

Nats a solid player but I’m more impressed with his brother. The guy keeps getting better every week he takes the field.

Its all good when you have a win.....but after a loss he's the whipping boy- and that is so wrong because his defence alone every week is first class. Hist tackling technique is excellent and he goes in full boar

Unfortunatly among those fans who have the attention span of a goldfish, he gets lambasted as he is rarely in highlights reels.

Nat Butcher is Paul Gallen mk2 but without the cnt attitude and without the roids.

Crucial to the team going forward.

Deserves a lot more love than he gets.
