  • Liam Foran

    We got his kid mid-season.

He has big wraps on him.

He's can play in the halves.

Ever since he has arrived, Newtown went into some good form.

Why is Sa still playing 5/8th ?

We have nothing to lose so why not give this bloke a go ? He might prove to be a shining light and an alternative to signing Carney.

On another note, with Myles gone, i'd like to see Khalid Deeb get a run in 1st grade. He is a big, tall unit. Runs hard, plays the ball quick and is a pretty solid defender. Moujali got a run a few weeks back but i rate this bloke higher.
Stanley Waqa doesn't strike me as a bloke who will continually put his hand up when we are coming out of trouble.

I totally forgot about Liam Foran. He should definitely be Pearce's halves partner, they grew up together, went school together and know each other's game inside out. Is a very classy player but was unfortunately stuck behind some very good players at the Storm last season but would have got more game time in first grade. Went to the Warriors and seemed to have lost his way a bit but has revived Newtown's hopes of making the finals series.

A great buy, is he training with the Roosters?

I really can not understand why Liam Foran is not playing 5/8, i have been saying it for a few weeks. This kid is talent and can handle FG.

If he does play, then our strike centre Ben Jones will get pushed out.

It's a good dilemma to have I guess. But I truly believe Foran should be in there somewhere.

If Sa was dropped Ben could stay. I haven't seen Foran play but heard good things about him.

And has anyone actually seen Foran play? Or are we all just speculating?

I caught a glimpse of the Jets game last night on Fox. He is an organiser, good passing game, good running game and solid defence. His kicking game isn't too bad either.

I wouldn't care if he was Marc Herbert, we cannot play a backrower at 5/8th and expect results. That's how Souths roll.
