I was going to say the stadium looks like something from the UK or US..it's very intimidating..but in a good way..my vertigo kicked in just watching..

Thanks for sharing R6..it's amazing watching it all unfold...

Stu Ayres must be absolutely pissed he won’t get to open the new stadium. Hopefully Big Red will make him feel better.

Lol if you don't like crowds just have your hotdog and beer in the cubicle and watch the game.

The viewing and overall layout is superior to Parra's stadium.
Sydney FC Cove fans are so close to the action behind the goals they'd better have good reflexes or hard heads for those stray shots at goal.

You know what.....habitual whiners are hard to please no matter how awesome this new stadium atmosphere IS.

If the miserables don't like it then stay at farkin home and wave your flags at the telly. Miserable #@$%₩
Agree Gman...theres some entitlement in the air.

I just hope the upper level inclines aren't as steep as other similar sized stadiums. Looking great otherwise. And how much better is the blue aspect compared to that dark depressing grey at Wankbest.

Put it this way........Level 4 view both West and East sides are far better than what the old SFS offered....Much closer to the action.
They've also done a top job sheltering the fans in the nosebleeds. Plenty of natural light too because the protruding roofing directly above the bottom bays are transparent.

The only apparent downside for mine is that if it rains and there's some wind around then fans closest to the field perimeter will get wet. If it rains dead set vertically then all good.

              Regarding the rain.

I'm only 8 rows back, definitely would get wet there when it rains. The thing is we hardly draw blockbuster crowds so if there is any sign of rain you can easily shuffle seats and sit elsewhere as the majority stay away if the weather looks average

They've also got the stadium Pal over there as well. For those who dont want to miss a second of the game.

Yeah true for most footy games however, for major concerts and events like Elton John, Beiber, Syd FC vs Celtic FC etc..them fans are sitting ducks.
Politics at its best prevented SFS from installing a closed roof. I don't get it...........the pollies boast about NSW being the state of choice for major events however, we don't have a venue with a roof unlike Victoria.
They had their chance but ???

If you want to watch indoor sport then go to the basketball or netball.

                        Glass half empty hey!

You type are hard to please full stop

my seats at the SFS were the best in the country. 5 rows above the tunnel directly on half way. Had them for 15 years.

now I’m shoved on the fence at ground level and have been given no recourse to request different seats. None of us have even been told how much these new seats will cost (expect a doubling of prices).

I couldn’t give a **** if Alan Jones and the other SCG toffs now have a pretty marble bar to drink at while they don’t watch the game. We spent $800m on a stadium with the same capacity as the previous one… just with better shitters and a bit more space for people to walk around behind the stands. Awesome

Looks pretty much identical to the old one. Sorry that I'm not all hyped but like... it's just a stadium. If you have a bronze membership the view will still be shyte and you'll be there for the atmosphere.

Stadium beers are a necessary ripoff when watching footy. Stadium toilets? One of those things you only use if you absolutely must.

Big meh from me. In a tight fiscal environment, IMO $1b coulda done so much more.

Yes I can vouch for you as I sat just a few rows below you guys. That really is disappointing for you as you did fully pay up your memberships during Covid whilst you were away overseas and rather than spend that money on something else, particularly with a young baby now, you chose to keep paying money to the club. You have every right to be feeling the way you do and have valid reasons. I'd be calling the club if I were you..

Gee you're hard to please Danish.
Your former seats were approx 30m away from the sideline. Your new seats on the fence are no more than 10m away from the winger. The touchies will be copping it deluxe from irate fans

I hope you'll have the courage to come back to us and admit how much better off it is.

sitting on the fence is the worst seat in any stadium. You can’t see anything.

I don’t want to be close, I want to actually see the game - see the gaps open up, see defensive and attacking shapes form, be able to watch the play the ball while having a view of the offsides or, oh I dunno, be able to actually see the markings on the field. None of that is possible from ground level.

I’ll happily update after our round 25 game with photos of how shit my view is. I’ll be sending them to the club anyway so don’t mind posting them here too
