How many on here have stayed away from the SCG due to the awful view over the past few years, and will now be regulars to the new stadium?

being from out of town, we only go up a few times a year, so where we played from didn’t really sway us from going.

with a successful team for the foreseeable future, what should we be expecting as an average crowd figure in a now state of the art stadium?

It's 5 star and the gym is top echelon.

coming on to our 13th or 14th year on the scg waitlist. I honestly don’t think they are even giving waitlist memberships anymore and are just flogging them to those willing to pay the joining fee

I have a few friends who have been to the odd SCG game but will be back as regulars at Allianz. Reason being is that the play was too far away.

Those are the keys..the other lot are now on the back foot...there is a lot to be said for teams who fire at exactly the right time (ie now) as opposed to starting out of the blocks and then crashing and scrambling at the back end of the season..Trent is excellent at timing..

Just got tickets to the opener, 3 of us coming up, but we all have to sit separately, should be as good as a finals match.

Hearing we may be playing a bunch of games next year at the SCG due to the Women's soccer world cup.

                This is correct.
Or another alternative 'home' venue ie. Comm Bank.

I’m in the same boat mate, was fortunate enough to collect some tickets along with the misso and some friends but have to sit separately in the same section.

Either way I am happy knowing I will be there, the tickets have surprisingly been selling at a rocket pace and will be a great atmosphere one similar to RD 25 2013 for the minor’s well this match could be for finals. Huge game.

Not so surprisingly really. So much at stake, new ground, playing the old enemy. Every game against them should be a sellout.

Wish i had of known. Got 4 Gold tickets yesterday after the email from the club for a work 'mate'. Would rather have got them for a fellow Roosters fan

Are you also hearing that the club wants to keep home Anzac Day games at the SCG, indefinitely? Because of the 'atmosphere'. Truly bizarre, maybe for the players but there is none for the fans.

                          NOT the SCG, please!
                          It's horrible...the view is hopeless.
I vote for CommBank, or the Central Coast...anywhere but the SCG.
I'm all SCG'd and Entertainment Quarter carpark'd out.

                            Truly and extremely bizarre.

That's a joke by the club, surely.
Fans should object vehemently if it's the case.
It would be giving St George a walk-up start.
If people in charge of organising things at the club are pushing this, then someone should push them in the other direction, forcefully.
Fans need to make Allianz a cauldron, create a new atmosphere, one that cannot be ignored.

you would rather drive to Gosford or Parramatta?

                              • It's the same as the old stadium...a field, stands, seats, bars, toilets, big screens, food outlets.
Only better designed, and "fancy"(as described by a friend of mine who had a look before the Wests game).
