  • The JWH and Radley sprays are most likely the frustration of a f&ck up in attack , coupled with the fact that Walker has well documented f&ck ups in defence.
I will say this though, Walker can bust open a tight game with a flash of brilliance, so he needs to be in the side.
Unpredictability, and the opposition not knowing what you are going to do next (ie multiple threats) is too important in the game.

What pissed me off more in the Drongos game were the 2 wayward passes along our left edge backline. Both times the loose ball was picked up by a Broncos player , and it let them off the hook.

And Walker has infuriated me a couple of times when he kicked on the 2nd or 3rd tackle when possession was so scarce for us (due to dropped ball, 6A, penalties and bonehead plays from us).
That’s a fair point, but how many times have Radley and JWH infuriated you with bone head plays involving dropped balls or giving away silly penalties..Not to mention the many times sitting on the sidelines due to stupidity

        AMEN!

One grubber they don't like, and you get yelled at hatefully (have a look at their faces and eyes in the full replay), and humiliated very publicly in front of the world.
...and you're just a kid learning to be our new 7...as we rebuild.

Wonder if they'd do the same thing to a 6'8" Samoan?

Manu tried a dumb offload when possession was vital...didn't see them attacking him, calling him a "f...wit".
You'd hope they don't hate Sam for some reason.

Let he who is without bone-headedness cast the first spray.

JWH gave away a ridiculous penalty against Manly in possession with his forearm and elbow to Fulton's throat.

Did Rads tell him to "use his ****ing head!" afterwards?

There's no sugar coating this imo. It was poor form and shouldn't happen again.

              • The only thing I didn’t like about it was jwh saying f***wit.

heat of the battle or not, that was harsh.

                • I hope how this has been addressed in-house is a little different to some of the statements made publicly. Nothing positive or helpful come from publicly belittling a young player who has made an error. Nothing wrong with a quiet word in his ear though.

Robbo referenced the chip for Butcher's try as the reason the Roosters signed him in an article on Keary . More than a number: Why Keary has handed No.7 jersey to Walker | NRL.com That type of play wont come off every time and abusing the kid when it doesn't isn't going to improve him, it may mean he decides to stay behind the ropes and just play it safe. Maybe we should have kept Kyle Flannagan .

Robbo has said previously he wont coach the football out of Sam, perhaps he should suggest the same to JWH and Victor. That Robbo validated the spray by suggesting that JWH had earnt the right due to having coached as many players as himself is baffling and at odds to his cerebral approach to coaching. I doubt Robbo has called JWH or Victor an Fwit etc. in front of an audience for any of their many indiscretions. That wouldn't be coaching.

Walker has been a breath of fresh air for us since coming into the team. Not only skilful and unpredictable but he's a tough little bugger too. He might miss the odd tackle but its not through fear or lack of effort.

Victor and Jarrod have long been my two favourite players but they got this wrong. Hopefully there's nothing more to.

                  • All the media on the so called blow up just a deflection by the media on due criticism of the poor officialdom. The saga for me i have no opinion on because for me it is like two older brothers telling the youngest to pull their head in. Some of the public comments on it are farcical.

                    • In those videos all I see is Crichton looking confused, as if he's saying 'hey guys I just scored!!! The fark are you whinging about?!? Come celebrate!'

Meh. We hear nothing about Klemmer! Bloke in a Bar + Cam Smith were highly critical of his treatment and said it all shoulda been dealt with face-to-face after the game rather than in the media. Both noted that Klemmer is super competitive so probably will swear and give you lip if you p!ss him off during the game. I feel a lot of forwards are like this and you accept a bit of it from them from time to time so long as it never lingers. I doubt JWH woulda let this one linger...

                      • One would assume Robbo would have addressed it though - It wasn't the message as such but the way the message was delivered and whether it needed to be delivered by two players one of whom isn't the Captain and or Vice Captain.

You want to be positive and not negative with any feedback or criticism of a player during a game though and you don't want every player thinking they can give other players a bollocking if they make a mistake or for an error of judgement during a game.

That should be the role of the Captain and or Vice Captain as part of their onfield team leadership role- Still being positive in the delivery of the message is the key though which wasn't the case in this situation which was rather all negative one has to say.

                            • We could go on and on but... look at Rads off field antics. Acts like a total clown at times. And he's telling Walker to use his head? Laughably hypocritical.

Anyway I shouldn't go on and on about it. I just hope they learn from it and remember that Sam is a 20yr old kid still learning his trade who crucially throws himself into tackles like a bloke who thinks he weighs 100kg, not 80kg.

They should be protecting him like a little bro from the thugs like Kaufusi. Not abusing him on field.

Yea maybe… I admit it wasn’t a good look however we don’t know all the info I think Trent has given the senior players a task to keep the “young punks” level. Everything I’ve seen from Sam is how he loves the place.. He is 19 and prob cocky and working out his game.. as much as a lot of people on here inexplicably seem to hate Trent, one thing we can say under Him is team harmony spirit and mentality is strong.
