It's all good to say get rid of players, but most of those being mentioned are under contract for at least a year or more, so getting rid of them means paying out all of part of their contract money for the remainder of their time. Which means there is less money to buy the 'high profile' replacements you are no doubt looking to purchase, who won't come cheap.

And these high profile players will no doubt disappoint and so the cycle begins again. Clear out and buy up big. And again, and again, and again.
