Not saying that at all. They were strong comments and he has to own them but it's nowhere near as big a deal as everyone is making out imo. Refreshing to hear someone actually speak their mind for once.

It's OK to speak your mind in public however there has to be some sort of barrier you can't cross. Stuart crossed that barrier.

Ricky can't control his emotions. It's always been his biggest flaw.

Contrast that to Robbo who is basically Yoda.

Any talk of suing however is ridiculous. What a trash litigious society we have become.

What next, suing someone for being called a c#$t? The refs would have a field day!

I certainly do. Who in their life hasn't be called worse than that? The poor girl had just turned 13.

Two weeks later that ego maniac (whoops - name calling) Eddie McGuire called Goodes 'King Kong' on radio. And he's supposedly respected by whom I'm unsure. Why didn't security haul him away?

If the Raiders win it would have stayed bottled up .

i like ricky stuart a lot but his comments on that bloke even if he is a gutted dog away from the game were bizarre and a diversion away from the fact that the raiders played shit

Ricky is Rugby League & Im glad he's part of the NRL.
I cant even remember what year it was now but when Ricky was the coach of the Blues & the Blues had played & won at Olympic Park he made his way to the Concord West Hotel at about 11pm where around 15 other patrons & myself all got to talk to him & he's a top bloke.
2002, 2003, 2004 was all Ricky Stuart he was the culture & the club because of him was firing. Sure he had top players but he was able to man manage the team to make 3 consecutive Grand Finals.

Yeah my oath, people saying he was just along for the ride during 2002-2004 are delusional. Bloody classy of him to embrace the 2002 GF 20th anniversary v warriors and turn up amongst the boys.

And in retrospect he handled the bitter 2019 GF loss (and 6 again controversy) with dignity, unlike the media and many others.

He let his emotions get the better of him here. Done it tons of times myself.

I used to see him all the time around here during those years like I said before and he never looked like he had a good night's sleep. He's very very intense and passionate about what he does. He also had a few troublesome players he took under his wing when he didn't have to as his children were very little at the time. That's how seriously he takes his duties. As much as I cannot stand the Raiders, they do incredible unsung work with the Ricky Stuart Foundation. I'm an aunt to an autistic child and it's very very hard work on the parents and grandparents but also brings lots of joy.

That said, I'm not a fan of angry people and it was a bit shocking for me when I clicked on the links to the stories posted here. I really didn't know that he had lost his temper so much and it's not a good look for one of our more experienced coaches to be name calling an opposition player so vehemently.

Yes we all know I'm a Bondi hippy dippy crystal wearing Zen type who prefers people like Trent..but we are here to balance out those who are not.....that's what makes the world go round..all different personality types..

Keep Calm And Follow Easts..one more month to go til finals everyone..

                              Five years after!

Stuart had them to 2 GFs directly after 2002.

Robbo had to wait 5 years after his first one and was the beneficiary of a player coup that bought us one of the best halves to play the game thanks to uncle Nick. If it wasn’t for that, Robbo could very well be 1 from 10.

That was a ‘Lexcen’. Already a Toyota.

Well, an old ‘dog’ Commodore anyway.
