Stuart had them to 2 GFs directly after 2002.

Robbo had to wait 5 years after his first one and was the beneficiary of a player coup that bought us one of the best halves to play the game thanks to uncle Nick. If it wasn’t for that, Robbo could very well be 1 from 10.

Correct and unlike Stuart, Robbo proved he can build a side even from the side that finished 15th to building them into a premiership side winning consecutive GF's. Stuart rode off the coat tails of the ground work Gould and Murray did before him, and with Fittler at he's best any coach would have got them to the GF in 03 & 04. Stuart has got one side to a GF (and could not win that) post chooks coaching and nothing since, he is a rubbish coach and nothing short of it, I hope the NRL suspends him for the rest of the year putting an end to the raiders chance of making the 8 once and for all.

Ricky is Rugby League & Im glad he's part of the NRL.
I cant even remember what year it was now but when Ricky was the coach of the Blues & the Blues had played & won at Olympic Park he made his way to the Concord West Hotel at about 11pm where around 15 other patrons & myself all got to talk to him & he's a top bloke.
2002, 2003, 2004 was all Ricky Stuart he was the culture & the club because of him was firing. Sure he had top players but he was able to man manage the team to make 3 consecutive Grand Finals.

I don't mind Stuart myself.

After the 2003 GF we went back to the club after the game - the players arrived and brushed those of us standing behind the barricades - Stuart could have brushed us as well but he came over though and thanked us for our support and said we were the true supporters etc etc.

Ricky was just deflecting attention away from the poor performance of his team who got lapped by a side missing 3 of their best players. I think the fact he made these comments says a lot more about the type of person that Ricky is then it does about the character of Jaemen Salmon

I've got a soft spot for Ricky after leading us to 3 GF's in a row. It's the players fault we lost 03 & 04 & not his. To suggest he can't coach is wrong.

It looks like age & the stress of coaching the underachieving Raiders has taken a toll & made him a lot more angry & bitter. Also he needs to look in his own backyard of some grub players.

At least with him you get honesty & raw emotion unlike Bennett who takes the piss every press conference & turns it into a funeral type atmosphere & they seem to love him for it?

Let Ricky apologise, give him a small sanction maybe & then let him be.

Agree he was in the wrong for airing it in that forum… but say what you will about stick as a coach , he is a very passionate and good man who loves his family. Also I’ll say not everyone involved were 12

His family have released a statement that they wanted the NRL to investigate and he obviously sought legal advise on the matter which anyone in that situation would do.

I find it so hard to believe that people are attacking him for something he did as a kid. It just beggars belief

I think that since salmon has not opened up to what the incident involved, means he also doesn’t want it coming out in the public, even though it was twelve year’s ago, people will treat it as it was yesterday, that’s the world we live in.
