You're spot on horrie and an excellent interview it is too.

Wonder what happened to him? I saw some of his training sessions online and he looked like one of those fit, middle-aged dudes who's just gonna keep on going (and I suspect he had a decent diet too).

Best wishes to him. Dunno what went wrong with his son but it's a pity as it sorta takes away from his legacy IMO.
What are you talking about. His son has nothing to do with Kevin Hastings' legacy at the roosters.

Me too, I used to run around in the backyard pretending to be him. That was a dark period when all those guys followed Bozo

Currently - Nothing listed - someone may know -maybe retired ?

Gary Metcalfe is some sort of real estate/business broker. He was the broker for the deal for the Post Office at Oak Flats a couple of years ago. My wife worked there and came home and said the broker played for the Roosters, took me a little while to remember him actually

I also ran into Ron Coote at the Maccas at Ulladulla a couple of years ago. His daughter owns it, still makes him pay for his coffee too he said!

Back in the day that was Sweethearts... where you apparently either sat around checking out some barista's mini skirt while ordering cappuccinos, or you walked in drunk from the night before, still swiging brandyvino (masterfully concealed inside a paper bag).

That's what Barnsey told me, at least.

Oh just I was the first person to like the video, so I assumed that its distribution was relatively limited.

Out of interest, who's the dude doing the interviews? Looks like he has some solid pull power despite having a limited audience. Good to see somebody who's not just doing it for the money & selling out to the betting industry. Could use a bit of basic media training so that he's a tiny bit more articulate/engaging. However Jeez I get sick of lacklustre ex-players making poddies and then teaming up with nobodies from sportsbet (who are the most cringeworthy presenters... for the sake of presenting).

What I'm saying is that it's good to see an ordinary bloke persisting with a poddie and getting some solid guest in there

Listened to the Love Shack while walking the dog last night. Love how he's a bit raw and unfiltered. Quality insights included:

                      - What happened in 2009 and how it impacted Shack (quality question from the interviewer... he sounded a bit bland but teased out a few really unique answers there IMO).

                      - Freddy's early coaching style and why it didn't work immediately. Shack has lotsa respect for Freddy and said his coaching / perspectives were cutting edge... just he hadn't developed the skills fully when thrown into the job so there was a big gap between the theory & the performance.

                      - A few of the behind the scenes antics. TBH reminds me of why I didn't pursue a footy career around about that sorta time (not saying I woulda made it but some of the antics that they've gotten rid of were farking annoying - I remember things like being encouraged to sack whack dudes + a d!ckhead kicking balls into my head from behind at point blank range and being like 'WTF is this about?!?!? Fark this!!!') Makes me happy that the sport's more professional now as I reckon a lot of health/effort-focussed athletes (like me) were turned away from it by 'the boys'.

                      - Didn't get very personal but sounds like he's been through a lot on a personal level (and was a single dad looking after kids while navigating his footy career which I think is pretty unique?) Not a very emotional dude but what he didn't say seemed to reveal a lot.

I don’t remember that, but great to hear.

                          I really don’t think so.

                          • Kevin Hastings has a unit right on the tweed/cooly border. I don’t know if he lives here permanently but he is here a lot. Still looks fit and happy and happy for a chat.
