I don't think it will change from this years back up to Sam. Hutch and Watson. I think Marschke did a good job in 2021 when he was called upon as well.

Real shame to see Sam go but once we signed Smith it was inevitable. He's a really good 9 but to be honest his luck with injuries has been massively disruptive to our team since 2020. We don't really have a real 9 back up. Using Victor, Hutch and Watson there for such large parts of three seasons due to Sam's injury woes has really stifled our attack for the best part of three years.

Sam's great but he's been either injured or coming back from injury( and taking a while to get his mojo back) for almost 2 out of the last three seasons poor bloke. I hope he gets some luck on the injury front.

Would have been good to keep him around but good luck to him. Where is he going? Club announcement only gives half the information us fans are after..just like their injury reports.

Also, how is Ben M going in reggies? I thought he might have been given more of a chance this year. Shame he hasn't played.

Its a shame we couldn't fit both the Cheese and Sammy V into the 17 for next season. But you can't win them all. Its seems that Sammy V has just started to find his feet again since what has been a few seasons of injuries. I'm really disappointed that we are gonna miss out on his best years of footy. But at the same time I'm excited to see what the Cheese can bring to our game.

verrills should have gone somewhere else but I guess money is money and it’s unlikely he has rep footy in his future so get paid son.

as for our hooking options, it seems obvious it will be smith starting and Watson off the bench. Robbo brought him back for a reason and he’ll be given first chance to own the utility spot
