Ive said it a million times before....not one person outside of the club, the player, his manager and maybe close confisants have a clue what a player is earning and the composition of this salary! Where do they get the info from...do you think the people who know will tell journos?
Sure they might get a couple direct responses and true answers...but not many more!
The NRL don't release the figures for each player either. Thye may release a blanket figure for 3rd party payments if anything.
If journos ask agents/managers, they will always inflate the figure of thir client!
If they ask a club who didn't secure a player, the club will always say they offered ex amount but it wasn't enough! (eg: Souths with Angus)
These lists are rubbish and pure speculation made for simpletons at the pub who have never had a profound or deep thought in their entire life!

The one thing he never mentions is we have Ian Schubert handling our cap, and he was previously employed by the NRL as a cap auditor, so he knows the ins and outs and loopholes we can utilise to maximise the $value of our cap.
The dribble by Buzz last night reminded me a fish out of water flipping around gasping for something.
