Who would really know MRIHK the same thing was said a week earlier but that time it was he had signed with the Dragons.

The Roosters have to fork out 1 million $$$$$ a year for Bellamy first, he will find a FB & he is probably already playing at the club.

You're absolutely right Mickey J, we probably wouldn't need to be spending un-necessary money on big names if we had Bellamy. He would be able to identify the talent within the club and take them to the level that is required to be a first-class player.

            Oops, back to reality

Somebody probably clocked him driving through Bondi then said well well, BS is signing with the Roosters.

No disrespect, but let's put the brakes on this Bellamy hero worship for a second.

I would be a chance of coaching successfully, even within the rules and spirit the game was originally intended, a team with Slater, Cronk, and others.

The guy has made an "art" out of strangle tackles, chicken wing tackles, turtle tackles. The fact that our game is largely determined by who wrestles and chokes the most in tackles and gets away with it, brings me to admire Bellamy all the less. He has made the game less about rugby league and more about dirty, stinking, cheating, unsafe defense.

He has a good enough playing roster to try and win without cheating. I think he is a blight on the game.

Oh yes, I forgot, and they cheated the cap by 70 billion, trillion dollars or so, and coach Bellamy knew nothing about it. Yeah right.

Bellamy, with the help of some great players like Slater and Cronk (I won't include Smith as he is the worst offender in the entire NRL for strangle/grapple tackles), is the coach to be envied by (nearly) all at the moment.

To me he is a cheating, win at all costs low-life. I wouldn't give him 5 bob to come to Easts.

No one like the wrestle mate but thats the way you need to play the game these days. When you watch the storm everyone knows what their job is, how to attack and defend according to their systems, they are super fit and they have discipline.

It would be a dark day if ever we resorted to signing him. Bennett I could cop but not the News Limited stooge...but I'm happy with Smithy for the time being.

I'm with player1 and Jacks Fur Coat.

The wrestle is ruining the game and Bellamy is the chief architect. And no one will ever convince me that the Melbourne coach had no idea about the salary cap rort.

Sorry but IMO this is our clubs problem, we are soft.

If we want to win we need to out smart the other teams and get down in the trenches and play dirty.

Waynekerr started the wrestle, when Bellyache was his assistant at the Wankos. Fact.

Fark me the Wankos have never been under the cap. Lockhead earning a cool mill a year, only on the cap for 250k. Fact. Check Roy Masters in today's herald.

Unless we get with the program we will never win the farker again.

Cheat, lie, poach, undermine, intimidate, do whatever's necessary to win at all costs.

WoManly do it and don't give a shit what everyone else thinks, Dessies the master at it. The Wankos do it, so do Melba both assisted by News their owners. The Boggs are past masters at it.

We are softcoqs, pains me to say it, but we lack that ruthless streak. Is there any coincidence we won our only comp in the last 35+yrs with a true carnt as coach, pRicky Stuart.

I'm not targeting you mate, this is a post directed at everyone. It's my opinion only but deep down you all know I'm right.

We constantly Whinge about Rothwitts snipes and the reffs bias and NewsRLs agendas etc etc etc. Until we get some carnt in us, stand up for ourselves and start kicking heads we will get what we deserve, carpet burns from taking the knee.

                        GO EASTS.

Stewart is all class !! and has 3-4 good seasons left in him !! We should sign him and pension Mini off (as much as I respect his long service).. as for Sheck, it will be good to have competition for the fullback spot foir a change.. as for this year.. the sooner we put Perrett into fullback the better.. Kiwi international who has had a great yr for us as fullback in the past !!

Perret shouldn't even be in the side let alone fullback.

I've never seen anyone get turned inside out so often in defence. Even when he's facing the carrnts he manages to twist himself into a terrible position.

Farrk the the nice guy shit he's average. Until this club grow a pair and stop putting up with average first graders, we aint winning jack my friends.

The moment any player in red, white and blue even looks with unfriendly intent at an opponent, he will be penalised.

Just watch a replay (if you can bear it) of last Sunday's game. Notice the blatant difference in the way the refs talk to the defending players in the ruck. The Roosters players are being warned INSTANTLY to "get off him" or to "move" or "Jarred, get out of there". With the Storm players, the refs are silent as Trappist monks.

To the best of my knowledge Bellamy nurtured Smith, Cronk and Slater into the players they are today. Would it be fair to say that if Brian Smith had these three players there would be a chance they would regress under his tutelage?

Dirty tactics you say; we introduced the gang tackle in 2002 which some would say was an unsafe dirty tactic introduced for unfair advantage. If Brian Smith knew how to introduce dirty grappling submission type tackles we'd be in a far better position than what we are now. Our idea of being tough is hit-and-miss JWH running out of the line to smash people with a 50/50 success rate. Whilst great to watch, hardly effective.

Would we be a lot more competitive with Bellamy as coach? YES
