Not even close, but i believe he has the attributes to one day make it.

I am very happy that he is on our books and hope he stays here for a while.

I think he had a great season last year and moved forward in many areas. I'll wait till the end of this year to see how he fares. I hope he further develops his attacking game, but it's not looking likely given the team's mentality of ad-lib football as well as the game plan.

Has anyone here ever met Fred in person? The bloke is a troll of the highest order. He loves these losses. He loves winding everyone up. He bags everything but has no suggestions.

Just watch a replay (if you can bear it) of last Sunday's game. Notice the blatant difference in the way the refs talk to the defending players in the ruck. The Roosters players are being warned INSTANTLY to "get off him" or to "move" or "Jarred, get out of there". With the Storm players, the refs are silent as Trappist monks.

Agreed, it was very annoying JWH was being called every time he made a tackle and every time he made a run. I can't recall ever seeing a player targeted in both attack and defence by reffs. It must be one of their topics every week, watch that JWH bloke. It's farked.

IMO we may as well just go mental, hurt every one, get suspended, I don't give a rats. We've tried being nice and controlled and it's never worked, we still are the most heavily penalized team in the cosmos.

Fred is Fred MRHK. He's been the voice of doom for a few years now. You should have read his posts in 2007 when Chris Anderson was coach - he had some real dummy spits then.

He brightened up a little when Fittler became coach but when that ran to shyte so did Fred's predictions. Still hasn't recovered.

Not sure what it would take nowdays to bring long term positivity to Fred, apart from the purchase of the entire Storm lineup and Bellamy and Bennett being co-coaches at the Roosters. Both of which are unlikely scenarios.

He and Ray/Coggy are the Grumpy Old Men of the Chookpen - embrace them for what they are, frustrating as it can be on occasions.

This happens every week Spirit. I listen to the refs on SportsEars at the game and it drives me mental that every time our blokes put a fingernail on the opponent they are immediately instructed to "moove" or somilar. Meanwhile the opposition can have our blokes in a headlock and not a peep is said!

I was doing my block during the Panthers game when they were lying all over us and the refs did nothing.

If I had a dollar for every time Jake and Jarrod are warned by the refs, I'd be shouting drinks back at the Club each home game.

I know, I should just throw the SportsEars away but I'm a glutton for punishment.

No disrespect, but let's put the brakes on this Bellamy hero worship for a second.

I would be a chance of coaching successfully, even within the rules and spirit the game was originally intended, a team with Slater, Cronk, and others.

The guy has made an "art" out of strangle tackles, chicken wing tackles, turtle tackles. The fact that our game is largely determined by who wrestles and chokes the most in tackles and gets away with it, brings me to admire Bellamy all the less. He has made the game less about rugby league and more about dirty, stinking, cheating, unsafe defense.

He has a good enough playing roster to try and win without cheating. I think he is a blight on the game.

Oh yes, I forgot, and they cheated the cap by 70 billion, trillion dollars or so, and coach Bellamy knew nothing about it. Yeah right.

Bellamy, with the help of some great players like Slater and Cronk (I won't include Smith as he is the worst offender in the entire NRL for strangle/grapple tackles), is the coach to be envied by (nearly) all at the moment.

To me he is a cheating, win at all costs low-life. I wouldn't give him 5 bob to come to Easts.

player1 to think for a moment that the game is being played the same as it was in the past is madness, it's still evolving.

What I dont get is how you dont give Bellamy credit for developing so many champions. How many has Smith developed over 30 years?
To say that he cheats & would be nothing without Smith Slater & Cronk is wrong. He developed those 3, it's not his fault that they are so good.
In regards to your wrestling choking chicken wing thats vision to introduce that, for some reason I like the win at all cost attitude.
