  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Cowboys

I have thought so all season and now I want our club to go out and prove it. North Queensland are a rubbish side and have gotten to where they are because of their easy draw and their good luck with playing top sides who had injuries at the time. Plus they were gifted a win against the hapless Tigers.

We gave it to them in Hicksville earlier in the year and there’s no reason why we can’t put a score on them again today. We have better forwards, backs and halves. If we play to our ability and do it for most of the game it should be a comfortable win.

Let’s bash them in the forwards. Let’s give them a reality check. Let’s show their ‘supporters’ that in actual fact they really are shit and are just there to make up the numbers. Let’s wipe the smile off of that amateur coach of theirs who sits in the box thinking he’s the Lion King. Let’s bruise their red necked egos.

It’s time to fire up. GO ROOSTERS!

Sad day for rugby league but I really think we are composed and professional enough to win this one even though emotions will be running high from both clubs. Enjoy the game everyone, have a great weekend and take care.

Don’t be too hard on Toddy Mullet. He was a Rooster after all.

Big game for us. I’d love to see a really dominant win. If we can win this we should jump the Bronco’s next week.

Another must win game and one that really suits us today, afternoon game with no rain meaning our players will let loose.

We have the Broncos and Parra in our sights and a win today will get us a step closer.

I don’t rate the Cowboys and today will reinforce that with a big win.

              Go Easts!

Agree and he was part of that very entertaining Tigers team of 2005. I remember saying to Mum over the Easter weekend of that year that they would win the premiership. Yes, just looked it up and I remember it was against Canterbury on Easter Sunday..mind you, I've never liked them since..

Oh well..thank goodness we follow a less dysfunctional club...I was awake before the alarm this morning and that always happens when we win later in the day...

It's quite muddy and slippery over here in the east this morning as we had very early morning rain but the sun is out now so that should soak up some of the wet turf

Seriously one of the softest draws I've ever seen, Titans twice, Tigers twice, Bulldogs twice, Dragons twice, Raiders twice, Warriors twice - deadset scandalous. They could not handle our speed when we played them in Townsville, would be very disappointed if we didn't break them again. On the issue of scandalous, how the **** did Klein get appointed to ref this match? He won the game for the Cowboys from the vidiot bunker 2 weeks ago, he should be nowhere near a Cowboys game for months if the commission gives two shits about integrity.

Big day for our team today fellas 4 straight wins will become 5 by tonight.. Lametrell telling other players that Souths are coming? Nah mate EASTS are about to embark on a serious run towards the premiership and it starts today at the hands of the cows.

They both will be fired up and rightfully so to honour Greeny and for us along with our courageous skipper’s 200th.

                          Lets GO EASTS TO WIN!

I think a slight pause in the game on the 7th minute will be a nice tribute to Greeny from both teams...

They did it in the NBA when Kobe Bryant passed as he wore both numbers 8 and 24, so the game was paused at the 8 second and 24 second mark!

Such a nice touch and would be nice if they did a similar thing for Paul.
