Especially if it happens after Klein has give the Cowboys 3 consecutive 6 agains and we are defending our line.

My only worry after listening to Cam Smith is that our most recent wins have mostly been a bit 'easy'. He backed the Cows (after backing us last week, so seems pretty sober about his backing). Our streak's something like:

      - Dragons

      - Knights without Ponga

      - Manly without 7 players

      - Broncos played a shyte game

I still back us and will be disappointed if we lose. Food for thought though.

Random trivia - we're on the best current streak, which is kinda neat.

He’s right on all accounts. The 4 we lost prior to the easy run were all against much better opposition.

Today we can make a statement.

          There's showers forecast around 1-2pm.

I think we play better in the wet. The opposition make nearly as many errors as us.

Gaar... I edited my post and ghost fragments somehow returned. I blame COVID brain for my extremely poor editing.

Will be a chance to make our mark though! Loved hearing Rads on James Graham's podcast and look forward to us turning up with that sorta attitude today.

I'm backing us because I think the Dragons and Manly games were both against teams that NEEDED to win. Forgetting the '7 out' parts, the NRL seemed to go limp about that one and be in apology mode (won't say much else about that). I thought they had a bit of luck with the refs, had their big guns in tact [barring Trbo] and were fired up... yet we still held them out when we coulda caved. IMO that was a defining sign of strength. A win against the Cows would be a massive confirmation of our creds...

Plus they were gifted a win against the hapless Tigers.

We gave it to them in Hicksville earlier in the year and there’s no reason why we can’t put a score on them again today. We have better forwards, backs and halves. If we play to our ability and do it for most of the game it should be a comfortable win.

Let’s bash them in the forwards. Let’s give them a reality check. Let’s show their ‘supporters’ that in actual fact they really are shit and are just there to make up the numbers. Let’s wipe the smile off of that amateur coach of theirs who sits in the box thinking he’s the Lion King. Let’s bruise their red necked egos.

It’s time to fire up. GO ROOSTERS!
They do have points in them if we're not on defensively but we have steadily improved in that are in recent times and our best in all facets is significantly better than their best. Hopefully we can produce that 80 minute effort without the mid game drop off.

Payten annoys the hell out of me too. Cant believe he has the hide to complain about Refs etc. given the rails run his side has been given. Overhyped coach of an overhyped team.

Easts to win. No mercy. No simbathy!

Paul Green situation is a bit of a curve ball.

Either way, I want an 80 minute performance and to blow them off the park.

Time has come to make that kind of statement.

                  Look at Souths.

Pity Mr Smith didn't check the Cow's form, for their last 4 or 5 games. Even going back further, you have to go back to their win against the storm in May to see a convincing win. An obvious case of sour grapes.

This one has the promise of a being a beauty.

We've got a peak performance coming soon, could be today.

Reckon Sam Vez will want to smash the rest of this season and show us what we will be missing. The incoming bloke made his own statement on Thursday night.

                        Easts by 14.

P.S. another great starter thread 13.

Let’s hope it happens but not sure how. In reality you could be in attack and about to score but stop for the 7 min mark stoppage? Not sure it would work that way.

I think the minutes silence before the match across all games this weekend is a great show of respect.

Funny the last game I went to was with someone on here and I said I'm bringing you an umbrella and he asked me why. I said it's pouring..he said not at Moore Park......gotta love the east..I remember coming home from the junction on the bus one day and it was pouring at Bellevue Hill but not at Rose Bay..go figure..as long as the conditions suit us, that's what matters...love the 3pm on a Saturday too..nothing like it..sun is out again but it did get overcast again there for a while..
