Mate, if Joe puts a bellringer on both of those vermin, I'd have a smile on my face for the following week (at least).

I'm still not going to watch live..I want to see the excitement of the new stadium opening though..without all that red and green cluttering up the joint....the guys across the hallway will be yelling enough for me to figure out if we are winning or not..

Todd admits to doing dickhead acts however the one thing he stands by is that he never hurt anyone in the process.
        Self inflicted dumbness.

Apart from the guy he set on fire and the other bloke he pissed on and all the peoples property he damaged on a rampage and the teammate he tried to make take the fall for his crimes.

2010 was a year to be proud of Todd..I like that version of him and will be grateful for the great onfield memories provided by him when we'd won the spoon the year before. That's why I sent Eddie that season's signed jersey I had sitting around here because it's a great reminder of how things can change for the better within the space of a year. That season is a metaphor for a lot of things..

I remember some customers who became friends of mine later coming into my shop (an older couple in their 70's who were Roosters fans) saying we just saw Todd and Jake Friend drinking in a bar at Coogee in the middle of the day....they hastened to add they were drinking large green juices at a health food place...they said they both looked so happy and healthy..Todd had just bought an apartment over there too and life was good and prosperous.

              Agree.
After our annus horribilus in 2009 what we achieved in 2010 was incredible and totally unexpected. I put it all down to Todd's stellar return and what a redemption story it was.
I'll always have a soft spot for the dumbarse larrikin.

Me too...I remember going out to Homebush for round one in 2010 against Souths with a busload of us from the club (Nathan what's his name fell over watching himself on the big screen and failed to score..) thinking oh my goodness.what was that?

I have Wendy Matthews's singing O Happy Day in my head when I think of that day..apart from Tommy Symonds' injury..I ran into his mum outside the stadium as she was a customer of mine..that was a terrible incident..no mum wants to see their child taken off field on a stretcher...he was lovely and thanked me for a green and white tie his Mum had bought from me for a Bondi United mate's 21st.

The same group of us kept meeting up and going to away games on the club bus that year..by the time we got back from the Campbelltown one, we were signing We Are The Champions...I had this weird feeling that we'd be in the grand final..after a spoon year....

It's probably a clickbait article in the Tele but they are saying rugby will offer him a $10,000,000 5 year contract.

Doesn't matter how much you love playing at a club it would be very hard to say no to that sort of money, he might get $5-6,000,000 staying with us.
I hate rugby and if I was a star at the roosters I would be gone in a flash at that sort of money being offered to me, anyone who says they wouldn't is kidding themselves.
No way any club can compete with that sort of offer, I just hope if it's true the NRL step in and offer the super stars some money to keep them in the game.

Yep if true - it does sound extraordinary though - we would have no chance of keeping him. I'd sit in a room with Salvo 9-5 four days a week for that.

We will spare you Salvo and instead give you Peter FitzSimons who will no doubt be reprehensible at the suggested payment to a top player rather than going to grassroots.

Surely that amount is far too much and that would have to be incentive based contrac like a million bonus for every Bledisloe cup Australia wins and another million to win the world cup.

I think it's fair to say they will have a crack at signing him but the numbers are ridiculous just like when Souffs said they offered him $700 a season over 5 years and we apparently topped them.

We topped them by backing ourselves as a club and giving him an outclause in his contract, knowing full well we have a club culture that he'd love to thrive in .......souffs had no confidence to do the same !
