Didn't want to start a new thread but Gallen on 100% footy tonight wrote himself off (if he hadn't already) as a complete buffoon.

Gus was simply explaining how we do well in the junior comps (sharks too no less) even though our junior catchment is small.

Gallen pushing that we gain an unfair advantage by buying "established" 16 year olds.

Lol. No mention of the Broncos throwing around their $5000 scholarships to all and sundry.

Which club even the Panthers haven't done that from time to time.

I'm glad the Roosters don't give a shit (They don't about peptide Paul and I shouldn't either) can you imagine latrell, cords and jazza playing elsewhere?

Funny thing about Gallen I thought when he came on commentary he was a bit softer towards us.

Oh well another on the shitlist. Although it was good listening to Gus while it lasted.

It's pretty poor form for someone who has been involved with the game at the highest level to roll out a tired old trope like that against one club when it would be common practice in all sporting codes around the world.

The NRLs nepotism regarding jobs in media for certain ex players has the bar set very low. Anyone who has a certain knack for media should be heavily considered for these roles.

I've warmed to Slater and even Thurston after playing but Gallen and Cameron Smith offer very little.

It's Matty Fletch hindy variety hour level stuff which I don't watch. I should probably avoid 100% footy too.

Only problem with Suaali is that when we’re defending our tryline he shoots out of the line and sometimes he gets it wrong (happened against the Cowboys)…a team like souffs may exploit that hard.

He’s good for at least two big shots a game so why not both?

Joey S could become the best player to play the game, he's that good IMO
I cant spot 1 weakness, the confidence he plays with for a kid is amazing. Brutal in defence , dynamic in attack, silky skills, all done at full speed with a massive motor and a thirst for work .
                the perfect footballer.

He's just bitter and twisted because unlike himself at that age, JS had several clubs interested in him. Ironically both went to school in the Parramatta area and he should know all of this information before speaking into a microphone. That's the difference between having a proper journalist on a program and an ex-player who is just there to fill a seat. Again, this is why my TV is not plugged in.

Suaalii to crunch Latrell, and also to take an intercept from a pass directed to Johnston. C'arn Easts!!

Anyone else get the feeling Suaalii really wants to keep his options open next few years, and is nowhere near committed to easts long term? Couple of quotes from him last few weeks which makes me think he'll go down the RTS path

Not only is he a superb athlete and freak of a player, he has a very rare level of maturity for a 19 year old. He is the same age as my son and all of his mates, yet he speaks with the maturity of someone so much older. I knew instantly RTS and Latrell were going to be special and I have the exact same feeling and more with Joseph.

Definitely keeping his options open - 2 more years still gives him plenty of time for the Rugby World Cup in Oz for 2027.

cnat blame him - enjoy it it whilst he's with us though rather than stressing what might happen I reckon

You would almost consider letting him leave in 2026-27 to play in Rugby WC, if it meant he is going to stay here before and and come back after.

Joe is a winner, his rugby comments just lip service. If he could play for the All Blacks then a career switch is understandable but to play for the Wallabies is 2 steps backwards or more . The Wallabies and the media romanticism is over done. Historically over the past 50years the Wannabes have had only 2 golden periods and outside of that it’s high risk to switch unless you want to be a loser.
