His local club had no interest because he was a pewny little dweeb according to Brian Smith. Amazing how some teenagers grow into giants in an off season. Unfair advantage

Another wow..thanks for that as most of us grew up thinking that Penrith had the mortgage on an enormous nursery of juniors..

They were the most active team signing players from 2012 to 2014 after they had booted local juniors like Jennings, Wade Graham, Luke Lewis, Mick Gordon, Lachlan Coote, Frank Pritchard

Right up there with stupid stupid Parra for not recognising Toups' talent. I really hope he breaks Mini's tryscoring record in a match against them too..oh I just realised next year is the 10 year anniversary of our 2013 grand final win.......

Any composite all time great Wallaby team would feature players from the 80s to the early 00s and the best athletes in this country are playing cricket, afl and league.
The ones who have played both rugby codes only went on scholarships and have been league players since they were young.
Even SBW who made the switch and got to win world cups with the All Blacks in my mind was a far greater league player than he was a rugby player.
Union is farcical in this country. It’s a non event. All the rugby players are league mad. That tells you all you need to know.

World Cup? Who cares. You might get a job at Macquarie Bank afterwards. But you can get a Ford dealership if you win an NRL Premiership at the Chooks.

I'll never forget what Brian Smith then Parra coach had to say about letting Gallen go.
He was shocked the year after letting him move on to Cronulla about his physical appearance. He couldn't believe how much he had "bulked" up in the off season. Read into it what you like!!!

                  Hitman?
                  Bellringers?
                  Inflictor 2?
Didn't work out well for no 1.

I’ve heard he was also helping a lot of team mates throw up in pub cubicles during his career…. He owes Buzz a lot

Fark me, don't they become angels when they retire especially those who choose careers in the media and are required to have an opinion.

Suffice to say - none of them live in glass houses!

I'm just thankful for his service while we still have him. If he leave, hopefully it will be on good term similar to SBW and come back to us one day
