  • Does Teddy get a rest this week?

He's played a lot of footy, any chance he gets the week off and we get to see Joe in the centres with Manu back to fullback?

As Gus would say - No No No No No - all hands on deck from here on in - they have the off season to rest - you don't disrespect your opponent by resting players - Roosters are in no position in any case to rest anyone

I believe Robbo said in a recent presser that he would not be resting anyone from games. He indicated that the training load would be managed where necessary, but that on game day it was to be all hands on deck.

I agree King. No resting of players as there is still so much at stake.

In saying that, I don't know why Robbo didnt bring Teddy off early the last few weeks when the game was done and dusted. On Saturday, that was quite early in the piece so he should have replaced him with Hutch and moved some of the boys around.

Need to keep building our attack and cohesiveness, teddy will be there, no time for rest.

He can rest easy in October like the rest of us.

Unfortunately, it is all hands on deck from here on as every game we play is a necessity to ensure a 'top 8 finish'. It also allows the opportunity for our "best 17" to play another week, get the combos right, try some new plays or fancy stuff and to keep beefing up our "for and against" which as we look on the ladder is a very important factor when the comp finishes in a few weeks time.

"If" the score is a complete blow out and we are absolutely 'annihilating' the Tigers on the scoreboard then perhaps the last 15mins or so we could give Teddy an early break and push Manu or Suaalii into the Fullback role and perhaps put Hutch or Watson into the halves and give Keary a breather etc etc (just a hypothetical thought).

But ... if that isn't the case then it's everyone on deck and playing for the full 80mins !

If I was Robbo I'd be very tempted to rest him

I'm guessing an early mark for Teddy if the games well in hand.
He must be a big chance for the dally m this year, he has been superb even when we were going bad.

So he won't get picked for the World Cup then???

Was going to say the same thing. A World Cup and a shortish break and then back to pre-season training. There is no such thing as a 5 month break. I think it is a fair question you ask but I doubt he will miss any football when we are not guaranteed to play in the finals.

Definitely a no from me mate, if we have the game in the bag by the 60th minute then take him off, but he def needs to play.
