Are people forgetting that we need to win 2 from 3 due to Canberra being right on our tails? They have the softest run in imaginable. Not a chance that we rest anyone.

Only if someone flipped the top 8 upside down and we mysteriously landed at number 1 all of a sudden..we've won 5 in a row and still only in 8th place..my prediction was 6th like many on here..

I don't think Teddy needs or wants a rest.

I'm tending to agree with the original poster....better to rest Tedesco and play Manu at fullback.

What is the end game here? Trying to win a comp or just trying to make the Eight..

If we can't beat a beaten and battered tigpies without teddy then we might as well give up now.

Need to freshen up teddy for the more important games ahead. We should flog the tigpies by 40 with or without teddy..

They train hard & training is full contact like a game so he can rest a few days during the week from training just do light cardio & ball work instead.
Unless injured players play NRL because they love playing in games of footy. They get the big bucks to train they play the game for free thats how much they love it.

In saying that, I don't know why Robbo didnt bring Teddy off early the last few weeks when the game was done and dusted. On Saturday, that was quite early in the piece so he should have replaced him with Hutch and moved some of the boys around.
              Yep same with Keary.

We rested in the games against the Knaughts, Dogs and Merge so now is the time to work, not rest.

Agree. This is what captains love about this time of year. We've just won 5 in a row and the last thing Teddy would want as captain would be to see all this momentum go to waste. You could understand if he were carrying an injury but that doesn't appear to be the case. Teams would only rest players if they had a couple of so called easier games in front of them and had the minor premiership well and truly sewn up. That is not the case here. The team is playing with belief and confidence so why change that formula now at such a crucial time of the year.

Unlike previous years there’s no opportunity for resting players this year.

look at his stats from Saturday, as we dominated in the middle, and hence field position, Teddy was able to have a very quiet game.
Also Manu took a lot of the normal hard hit-ups, behind the ruck, that teddy does.
Good coaching from Robbo, no way that was a coincidence.

Agreed - we're the sorta team that could lose to the Tigpies and then beat the Drizz the week after. Not quite that level of hyperbole (although Cows > Drizz), but that's why we're in this mess in the first place.

Had we beaten the Dragons, Knights and Bulldogs then we'd be in a different position.

when we are assured of a semi spot, then perhaps consider resting players

He may get a rest at the back end of the game if we are doing well...

I get the need to keep players fresh but doing so can also send a message to the players that this isn't a difficult game.
