My argument is all individuals should be free to chose what they do in their personal life outside of work so long as it doesn’t harm or infringe on anyone else, not held to a higher standard because of their pay bracket or title at work.

Drugs, alcohol & gambling is a weekend vice for many in our country. Without moderation it leads to terrible consequences and that’s a sad reality. But if you’re going to care about kids doing drugs then care about kids doing drugs every week… don’t just care because someone famous did it and the media are feeding you information about it.
    Tell me how partaking in
an illegal activity such as illicit drug us is not harming anyone?

Remember Tigers playing pokies outrage? Spare me with they harmed their club
But you sat on both sides of the fence and then said that their actions does harm their club so I’m trying to understand which one you actually stand by?

I don't believe anything has been proved as yet despite the accusations and speculation so best to wait until all is revealed.

Agreed Sally however what other reason apart from drugs or gayness could there possibly be for two men needing to share the same toilet cubicle?

Buying a house and having a spew doesn’t count.

Normalising illegal behaviour doesn’t fix the problem. It only makes it worse which is why many on here are even having this discussion.
didn't say 50% of 18-35 yr olds were drug dealers but don't let that get in the way of the story you want to tell mate!

Neither did I but It’s your story with wild unproven facts anyway so my story is just as valid.

Whilst I am strongly against recreational drug use and even more against the normalisation of it, it really isn't the point in this story. I dont care what Joe Blow (pun intended) does. I do care if you think your actions won't lead to consequences.

The point is, the bloke is the CAPTAIN of the club, held them to a kings random earlier in the year with his doofus dad to get paid 1.2m a year... (yes you do get judged on your salary... kind of how a salary works) he underperforms for the majority of the year then gets injured. He has said he is "right to go" when it comes to his concussions but doesn't want to risk it given its a dead rubber of a season for them. Which makes sense to an extent. What doesn't make sense is to risk his recovery by getting on the piss and likely the gear WHILST your team is playing. Awful look for the club. Action needs to be taken.

Piss the mental health garbage excuse off, it's an insult those who suffer from it and is the new cop out. He went out partying instead of fulfilling his duties as a professional athlete and the captain of a footy club.

He's a footballer who happens to captain an NRL team- Too much of this putting sporting people on pedestals and under the microscope only for the media and Joe and Jane public to cut them down the first chance they can.

Much more important things to worry about currently such as the Braves sweeping the Mets in Atlanta GA - Atlanta Braves now only 3 1/2 games behind the NY Mets in the National League East Division - Chop on Braves

So in your life have you done things you would be highly embarrassed about if they were filmed and released to the so called media/ general public?

The law needs to be changed to protect people from being filmed in places where it would be illegal/prohibited to install recording devices such as CCTV's.

Yes I have and I owned them . i learnt from them and realised I was an embarrassment to others . Family and friends which included footy mates .Its what you do with your mistakes that matter . So your answer is to not install cameras to protect the rights of people doing illegal things .Also a lot of these cameras protect the innocent from being attacked or for evidence against those that do. See the old bloke and the pick pocket at the RSL the other night . Only reason they caught him was surveillance camera
