Souths complaining - "We should be hosting first game at new stadium"
Based on that, the Roosters have a right to use the Centre of Excellence at Heffron park, it doesn't belong to Souffs becasue funding has come from NSW govt and Randwick council.
The old sports ground prior to Allianz was the roosters home ground. Souths played out of redfern Oval. Quite simply souths should play out of redfern oval, if homebush no longer suits. If NSW tax payer money were the yardstick then Vlandys tax payer money upgrade request will mean penrith ,manly and wests would then have no home ground.
Actually, Easts and Souths shared The Sydney Sports ground from 1928 to 1947 as a home ground. I don't know the reason for it but that is what happened back then. Souths however have never had Allianz as a home ground. Along with all the whinging, remember Souths stole almost 1/2 of Easts territory back in the day.
How about you reject that premiership you won when the other team (Tigers I think) didn't turn up & you did after there was a mutual agreement to both not turn up. Real classy.
I feel someone needs to make a banner for rd25 in reference to this.
Something funny about the fact we are the true tenants of the new stadium and Souffs play out of ANZ.
I'm just not clever enough to come up with a slogan.
It would surely piss them off

It has to be funny but not tacky though..don't want to be remembered as the club who had the stupid banner for the grand opening of such a huge stadium. I was at that game at Homebush when they had that 'Scum Forever In Our Shadow' banner and I think the guy even lost his job over it.

Souths played out of the SFS since it was built until whenever it was they moved out to the olympic stadium I think it was 2004 not long after they got back in the comp but their home ground is Redfern that's where they belong not at the SFS not the SCG and not at the olympic stadium

Agree.
I was at that game also and remembered thinking how embarrassed I would be if I was a Souffs fan.
I believe someone on this forum could come up with something Witty and Funny

I was at a Roosters v Souths game once and a bloke had a banner that said Keep Australia Clean Put Souths In The Bin that was marvellous stuff it needs to make a comeback

There is probably more swans supporters than bunnies in Redfern these days.
