I watched the announcement today re the grand finale. His initial " joke" about it going to Melb was not only not funny but in very bad taste. His comments about NSW riled me as much as the NSW Govt giving them more money to keep it in Sydney.

Talk about short memories. Don't like him, don't trust him and his rule changes suck. They are money grabbing puppets of betting agencies.

NSW Govt should start charging them commercial rental of the spaces they use. I would call their bluff, take it out of Sydney and see how that affects your bottom line.

i'm not a liberal voter but i don't have a problem with the government diverting money to cover disasters. i don't have a problem with brisbane having a gf every now and then but sydney's the biggest league city in the world, has the biggest ground capacity and should be the main venue for the gf

Yes shocking decisions by PV to relocate the game to Queensland so the comp could continue - should have cancelled the comp the past 2 years due to Covid - And that 5 year 2 billion plus broadcast deal should have asked for 3 billion

That superbowl idea has merit - maybe an 18th team and 2 conferences will be on the horizon in the not too distant future - Sydney and Non Sydney conferences - Conference winners playing off.

Would Still have a conference final series (top 5) and grandfinal - Sydney Conference GF of course in Sydney and the Non Sydney Conference GF in Brisbane.

I don't mind the rule changes per se the interpretation by the match official will be always be an issue just like any other calls they make but I think they should have went harder at eliminating the judo/wrestle and third player in nonsense and the decoy runner rubbish plus tweaking the 7 tackle restart.

Drop balls/knock on's by the attacking side in goal should not be a 7 tackle set restart and neither should missed field goals or grubber kicks that go touch in goal from say within the 10 metre area

I agree whole heartedly with the last part but the first part is a can of worms. Third player in is hard to eliminate.

Agree but seriously you didn't need to be a rocket scientist to see that there were no other options. It was pretty obvious but he did push it through. That doesn't mean that he is right about other things.

Yea but do we seriously think the turd would have been as proactive ?? And look I’m not like salvo saying the bloke can do no wrong but roosters can’t win comps without being able to play in comps.

I seriously doubt that anyone else would have had the guts and drive to get the comp going again amidst the crazy lockdown over-reach. I genuinely think he saved people from more serious mental health issues by having "something" to engage with and follow.
