We have to be better. 4 x drop balls from kicks off will not fly against Melbourne. They’ll put away 2-3 tries to say thank you for the leg ups. We have experienced players returning next week. I don’t see how Egan makes the 17. Anyone not meeting finals footy standards can watch from the grandstands. I trust Robbo to field players here on in to play finals style footy from Friday night onwards who can cut out basic errors
Egan has been great, I don’t know how you drop him. His leg speed along with Watson has been a great addition to our pack and adds a different dimension.

      • Went out to the SCG to watch the Roosters have a training run.
There was a mob in orange shirts "opposing" them.
I thought the Roosters training moves were really good against their opponents.
Then someone at the ground told me it was a real game.
        "Nah" I said - ""It can't be"
Then, when I came home and turned on the computer , my suspicions were confirmed- It WAS a training run.
The real football games start in the next 2 weeks against the Storm and Souffs.

Hutch has the drop on E Butcher due to his versatility of playing a range of positions - halves/dummy half and even centre.

With 4 props rotating plus Watson subbing for Radley the forwards are covered especially with N Butcher and Crichton playing 80 minutes so a utility back in Hutch who can also play Dummy half would be required one would say.

Yes Watson can cover these too but is more effective as a running forward rather than a second dummy half

Depends on the expectations of Verrills playing 80 minutes each week I assume
Call me mad Id play Drew in the centre’s Defensively sews that side of the field up Perhaps not the best game to judge it on but I see merit in it in our run in Bit like Anasta in the back row whom I’ve likened him too plenty of times at a quarter of the wage

I don’t think he plays both Collins and Taukeiaho next week, he’ll stick mostly with what’s been tried and tested over the past couple of months. Probably brings in Collins for May.

I’m going to be extremely controversial but I wouldn’t play Taukeiaho, I think his defence was extremely suspect in the first half of the year and I think he’s lost a lot of his lateral movement. I like what Lodge and Egan Butcher offer more at the moment and I hate saying that because I have absolutely loved Taukeiaho as a Roosters player and would hate to see him leave the club not playing in the first grade side.

                Nat Butcher, my GOAT.
Sam walker must be close to holding the record for most conversions in a match, rooster or other?

Im not sure if it’s a good idea to have 4 props in the team.

Walker kicked 12 from 12 By your stats that would mean he is outright second and NO 1 in NRL era

                        Yeah, nah.

Watson is the utility if need be.

Egan Butcher is an absolute lock for a bench spot.

I am not sure if I am being telepathic or not when I hear Robbo's comments in the presser.
But Lodge and JWH have been starting, and he says Collins is ready to go , with SST needing the final tick off to play.
I could be wrong, but I think that could mean 4 props are in the team- 2 starters and 2 off the bench.

                            • They were talking during the game on Channel 9 how Roosters fans can vote for the player of the match - apparently Hutch gets plenty of votes each game and even gets votes when he is still on the bench and hasn't played as yet - During the Tigers game he was leading the voting too.

                              • R6 it’s no coincidence that Keary is back to his best now that he’s playing on the correct side of the field.
