Official Match Day Thread: Roosters vs Tigers

They were talking during the game on Channel 9 how Roosters fans can vote for the player of the match - apparently Hutch gets plenty of votes each game and even gets votes when he is still on the bench and hasn't played as yet - During the Tigers game he was leading the voting too.

Some of us know this because we attend games.

You weren't being greedy...but conservative..Horrie messaged me saying he'd told a Tigers mate the Roosters will put 60 on them..then he messaged me when Tamou was throwing his tanty asking if we could make it to 72...

Good thing the scoreboard is not manual these days at the SCG...the poor attendant would not have had a chance to rest all night...

Why was Radley on report? I didn’t see it at the game.

Went out to the SCG to watch the Roosters have a training run.
There was a mob in orange shirts "opposing" them.
I thought the Roosters training moves were really good against their opponents.
Then someone at the ground told me it was a real game.
"Nah" I said - ""It can't be"
Then, when I came home and turned on the computer , my suspicions were confirmed- It WAS a training run.
The real football games start in the next 2 weeks against the Storm and Souffs.

Weren't they just apathetic? Really unprofessional performance and they should all get their pay docked for that game. I've been saying for years they are one of my most disliked teams simply because they are a dysfunctional rabble. I didn't even realise that Brett Kimmorley was their coach as I never watch them or read anything about him. I feel very very sorry for him..he's had a lot of unpleasantness thrown at him over the years and deserves better than what was dished up last night and so do their fans and sponsors. I did say early yesterday morning that we were very lucky to follow the team we do and to stop bagging players like Momo..

Meanwhile our blokes still gave chase for that one try that was let in..

Great win and well done boys .Going to get bagged but that performance against crap opposition gave me no confidence for upcoming harder teams

See, this is why young Joseph didn't need to score last night..he was conserving his energy for the team song. I've posted a bunch more in my next post but it needs admin approval due to the amount of links.

Far be it from me to watch NRL on channel 9 as I streamed Fox last night (I do enjoy some their other programs though to be fair like the new drama series After The Verdict) I'm looking forward to the Mini Match version of this game when they upload it later today...but in this case it's going to have to be a maxi mini version to fit all the tries in...

Twice by EButch when he was impersonating a front rower. Hopefully Lindsay and SST will do better.

we were only up 6-0 until about the twentieth minute but walker and keary were great in maintaining pressure, forcing 6 agains, rather than trying to score off every play. we earned the right to put plenty on them.
