If you honestly believe that this team would be better off with Anasta at 5/8 and Mortimer coming on and playing 6, 7, 9 and 1 if needed then you're deluded. He's not a utility. Problem with this team is that Pearce is an overated hack and his 5/8 inside of him is a ball runner and an average one at that. Our second most creative player is coming off the bench and playing half a match, if not less because people like you and Smith consider him a "utility" option.
I never said anything about Anasta or who should play 5/8.

I was questioning the logic behind this quote " If Smith has no faith in Friend as an 80 minute dummy half".

How does picking someone who Smith see's as a utlity over Mitchell who he sees as a dummy half prove that Smith has no faith in Friend as an 80 minute dummy half? It proves the contrary, stay on topic.

Be real happy if somebody could explain why we couldnt have wonderboy 7, morts 6 and Anasta lock. Not worth a try ?

I get Morts is a bit useful later maybe when forwards run out of puff.

Ok, I'll do as you say and stay on topic even though my original post here was based on Smith's interest to play Anasta at 5/8, Morts off the bench and Mitchell back at Newtown, but if me talking about Anasta is going off topic, I shall now reply to your post of Smith having no faith in Friend.

Jake Friend's minutes played this year.

        Vs Souths: 66
        Vs Penrith: 46
        Vs Canberra: 80
        Last week: 62

So far, from what I have seen this season, and over the course of Friends career is that Smith does not have faith in Friend for the full 80 minutes. How does my opinion have zilch logic? Facts show that Friend rarely plays 80 minutes in his career, and that's not just based this season. Smith has no faith in him as an 80 minute player full time. Precisely why he bought Riddell last season but when he turned up too fat to play, he went after a player who had issues cracking the mess that is parramatta's dummy half rotation.

If this isn't Smith toying with our minds again, and Moga does not play, I will jump off a bridge.
Anasta should be pushed to lock, give morty a go at 5/8 and mitchell into number 17.
FPN can sit on the bench for all I care.

I am also so tired of seeing all of these backrowers across the park. FFF Maubs is a better backrower than a centre. BJ is not a winger. Anasta is not anything. How much longer will we have to tolerate this??
Taka would be better than Anasta, Friend would be better, Morts would be better, Littlejohn would be better.

Seriously, if Anasta has to be picked but him in the centres and let MAubs go to the pack where he should be, Anasta's defence is ok and he could utilise his natural speed and excellent distribution skills from there.

I still haven't read him really give it to smith.
I have had enough of Smith and his stupid mind games. The team gets flogged and he drops one of the players who played OK. What sort of message is he sending to them? It's alright to capitulate? The bloke has lost the plot. For the record I did state that Taylor should take over as coach and that Smith should be sent to Callan Park.

So he can attend the art college there? They haven't used that as a hospital since 1994. Try the Sydney Clinic at Bronte..one of my friends is a nurse there and she is a Roosters fan..

I hope that we get flogged again,it will bring Smith closer to getting sacked, for the record I couldn't agree with you more on Taylor,he dosen't carry the scars of Smith or Elliot. He was also the last man in decades to get Souths in the semis with a crap roster and watching the U20's play is much better than watching 1st grade.

If Smith continues to pick the team I recommend we all get better acquainted with it.

The downsizing and removal of the prevalence of the "mental health faciliity" was begun in the mid 60's. It was in response to the Callan Park Royal Commission in 1961 that found that most mental health patients were being kept in overcrowded and dilapidated conditions. Callan Park itself was built in 1848 and had not been updated, barring electricity and other minor maintenance issues.

The governments of the day decided to follow the recommendations by the royal commission to allow for "care in the community" to become the norm instead of locking up mentally disordered people. While the truly psychotic were still "locked up" the average thought disordered or mild schizophrenic was released into the general population to be cared for in halfway houses and the like.

The final end of locking up mentally disabled people came about after the revelations of what went on under Harry Bailey in Chelmsford hospital in the 1980s. Bailey used narcotics induced deep sleep along with Electroshock Therapy to treat everything from schizophrenia to eating disordered. He was quite rightly equated with Dr. Mengele.

This, of course, was followed by the report by Dr. David Richmond in 1983. It recommended that the NSW government fund a system of community-based networks, backed up by specialist hospital and accommodation services. Mental hospitals were to be progressively reduced in size, and their services provided by general hospitals, supported accommodation and hostels.

Unfortunately successive governments used the report as an excuse to cut beds and funding for mental health. The mentally ill have been left to either become homeless or victims of or perpetrators of violent crime. A perfect example of this is the five, I won't call them men, who tortured and murdered Anita Cobby. They were all diagnosed with mental disorders, which would explain why they did what they did. If they had all been in an asylum, then Miss Cobby's murder would most likely never have happened.

I think this post originally had something to do with the Roosters, I don't remember rightly.

FPN has about the same work rate and skill level as our current 5/8 = 0
