technically it's an illegal tackle but i'm not sure there's enough force in it to do any damage. it's the kind of tackle that normally goes unpenalised. if the rule makes some reference to force then it might be worth fighting it and risk $500 to save $1000

Replay... I dunno how he hits the thigh first unless it's his chest. Stupid tackle IMO as the guy was already wrapped up, guessing a fine only at worst though?

Following the Sydney Roosters Round 23 match against the Wests Tigers, Victor Radley has been cited by the NRL Match Review Committee (MRC).
Radley was charged with a Grade One Dangerous Contact offence from an incident in the 19th minute.
Should the Club enter an early guilty plea, Radley will receive a monetary fine of $1000.
If found guilty at the panel, Radley will receive a monetary fine of $1500.
The Club has until 12pm on Monday to enter their plea

IMO the crackdown on dissent with insulting the ref being an immediate grade 3 contrary conduct is understandable but a bit overkill. Like I get that you don't want people calling the refs shyte (particularly on camera) but I feel there's much worse stuff you can do within the sphere of 'contrary conduct'. If Tamou missed his last game then it's bollocks IMO.
