I was only thinking yesterday when I read about the fine, where do the funds go?"Believe in yourself, especially when no one else will."

Excellent question rwb. I was wondering about that also. Maybe some of it goes towards Men in League just for a guess. Other than that it could go towards the Referees end of season trip fund.
Due to the bio-security breaches, the article from last year dated 27/8/2021 had stated over $850,000 had been collected so far for that season (today is 24/8 22).
NRL fines traditionally go towards player wellbeing and education-related initiatives, as part of an agreement with the Rugby League Players Association when the monetary sanctions were introduced to the judiciary system."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

i was listening to luke lewis on the radio one time and he was saying that some players would prefer to miss games than be fined - they've got families to feed and mortgages to pay off. as a fan i'm glad players don't miss games for minor offences but it is tough on the players, particularly those on minimum contracts
