Was a beast last night. Cops a fair bit around here which I find unwarranted most of the time.

His carries are so strong and he's been playing well for the last half of the season I reckon.

    Well done Angus!

    Great second rowers game.

Yes he’s been justifying his salary for the last month. And it’s about time too.

Indications are he wants to remain with us for the rest of his NRL career. Who can blame him?

He's running Cord like lines off Keary , really picked up since origin and playing good footy.

Been very good since state of origin.

My only complaint with him at the moment is he can still be quite loose with some of his passes/offloads. Needs to leave the creating to his halves, just keep running good lines for your half and taking tight caries to help out your middles.

Yep, been really good lately, and overall just looks hungrier. Gets his hands on the ball more in attack and in defence is sliding well, and getting to his man as opposed to earlier in the year when he just was lazy.

I’ve posted about this before but I think it’s the opposite of lazy, I think he was over-working himself. Crichton is a power athlete, not a worker he needs to reserve his energy for moments of quality rather than lots of efforts.

In his first 8 games where he started the season in the 2nd row he averaged 37.3 tackles per game, in his most recent 8 games where he started in the 2nd row he only averages 28.6 tackles. In his first 8 games he made 0 line breaks in his most recent 8 he has made 7 linebreaks.

I remember watching so many games and seeing Crichton defending anywhere from left edge to centre field to right edge in a a game and you just wonder how much energy he was wasting not just making the extra tackles but the ground he was covering. Seems to be much more focussed on the quality of his output than the quantity of his output lately and it has really benefited his and our game. He’s a real weapon in yardage and close to the line now.

On a similar note Nat Butcher seems a more complete player than Sitilli. Sitilli went missing in defence, dropped the occasional ball running the hard lines. Nat ticks all the boxes ur defence , tries scored are all the better for his place in the team.

I deadset thought we would struggle without Sitilli and his attacking brilliance but I am rapt at how good Butch is playing.
He looks like it is all starting to click individually.

                    Super impressed

Something's clicked with a lot of us IMO. As you say... people weren't bludging, they were trying too hard rather than spreading the load appropriately.

It's a pity we have taken so long this season but IMO we're one of the best looking teams right now.

I think moving Keary back to his preferred left side has made all the difference. His combo with Gus has been getting better each week. Nat has also slotted into that right side position very well. Sammy V being back and playing the full 80 has also made a huge difference, freeing up Watson and providing quick clean service from dummy half.

Keary and Angus combo is starting to remind me of keary cords.
                          Angus runs a great line

butch and sitili are different players with different strengths but butch has a lot of skill about him. you can criticise the tigers defence on his last try but that dummy to kick was deft

Flat track bully? Probably not, but lets see how he backs up that performance the next 2 weeks. In some regards the same goes for Nat Butcher.
