In his first 8 games where he started the season in the 2nd row he averaged 37.3 tackles per game, in his most recent 8 games where he started in the 2nd row he only averages 28.6 tackles. In his first 8 games he made 0 line breaks in his most recent 8 he has made 7 linebreaks.

I remember watching so many games and seeing Crichton defending anywhere from left edge to centre field to right edge in a a game and you just wonder how much energy he was wasting not just making the extra tackles but the ground he was covering. Seems to be much more focussed on the quality of his output than the quantity of his output lately and it has really benefited his and our game. He’s a real weapon in yardage and close to the line now.
Didn’t think of it like that. Now that you mention it in the most recent Tigers game I remember seeing Crichton popping up on both left and right side (mainly for defence).

For a bloke that cops so much heat I'm not sure that there's a better edge backrower in the comp.

I've always been an Angus fan but he undoubtedly had a poor end to 2021 and beginning to 2022. Thankfully he appears to have rediscovered his peak 2019-2020 form.

Absolutely. It’s great to see him back to his best and he seems to be really enjoying his footy.

He’s a big part of our turnaround this year.

What I love about Angus is the strength of the man when he runs it takes three defenders to wrestle him and at times he’s still standing in tackles and has this habit of keeping his ball carrying arm free but just rarely gets the offload off he’s a beast at his best.

            Run Angus Run.
