There's also the odd chance that Manu will play at 5/8 in some capacity whether it be temporarily or permanently so we will need outside backs as back up !
I agree, good back up for us with potential to learn the "Roosters Way". Robbo will get the best our of him for sure!!

PS: Ryan Hall did have a go though and more than Burgess ... just unlucky with injuries and not being able to find the try line
Agreed. Wouldn’t mind seeing Bateman back in the NRL at some point. Only 28 so the ripe age for a 2nd rower.

Joe Lydon did all right in his two stints - 1987/1988 and Martin Offiah had his moments in his first stint in 1989- second stint only lasted one game due to injury

Robbo hasn't had a good strike rate with imports has he - Remi Casty Ryan Hall Joe Burgess - wow it's saying something that Ryan Hall was the best of them for us and as a winger who played about 20 games for us never crossed the stripe! Have I left any out?

          Hopefully Gildart breaks the duck

Oh I met him..lovely guy..I always think of THAT final against Souths in 2014..no try..that was the last time I watched a Souths game live..

Oliver had been linked to Redcliffe but also Leeds just a month back also. Nothing has been signed with either of those clubs.

That's nice to hear I have long subscribed to the theory French guys are normally arseholes. I have had a bit of experience in the field! French women on the other hand

What at true smack in the face for the Tigers. If you saw Nofoluma's interview on Footy Show and how much he has enjoyed being part of a "very professional team with very high standards" and would love to make the move long term ...and after 10 years finally gets to play semi football. And now Gildart coming out saying he would like to stay, and develop in a team competing at the top ...... must really burn the Tiger faithful hearing such things !

I wouldn’t worry about him if I were the Chooks. He is nowhere near big enough or tough enough to play in the NRL.
Suaalii, Manu & Smith play it hard & tough Gildart doesn’t.

And Hairy Grant couldn’t wait to get out of there.

The French don't have the mortgage on that behaviour unfortunately..Yes I agree with you re the women myself..so stylish..just watching a series set over there currently with Phill Collins' daughter in it.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience though..I also met Jason Ryles and he told me he loved it over there too..I always feel very sad for the UK and European players who come over here and just don't quite make it. I always get upset...we have such a great club and we live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world and I guess I just want everyone to share in that success and have a taste of it whilst playing with us..Oliver included now..

As Bob Ellis wrote about French men they "...are a dense and arrogant people, idle, pretentious and rabbit-slaughtering, all of the men identical, as Gore Vidal so rightly noted--pot belly, green skin, stubble, limp cigarette on long wet underlip unlit but somehow dribbling ash in acres."

That Oedipal shitweasel Emmanuel Macron comes to mind. Marrying your mother is one thing but your grandmother. Sick bastard.

Maybe he is Mick but maybe he is also one of the few that can compensate for that - There's been few over the years - Preston was 65 kgs at best, Alf, Toovey and who could forget the enigmatic Sam Obst? Give him a look before you write him off.
