I think Hutch will get the nod for a bench spot - If 2 props on the bench and Watson as a utility and used as a running forward and sub for Radley then Hutch would be needed to cover a range of back positions(halves and Centre) plus dummy half if required.

One would assume Crichton and N Butcher would be expected to play 80 minutes and Verrills as well.

The 4th bench spot is always problematic as Robbo often gives them little game time and sometimes none at all deepending on the state of play on the field.

Robbo has it right with both Hutch and Watson on the bench. Nat Butcher and Crichton both play 80 mins. JWH/SST/Collins/Lodge all capable of playing more than 40 mins if one goes down mid-game. We don't need a third specialist forward on the bench.

On point Keggs. That would be my lineup though it would have been good to trial Gildart at centre last week and against the Storm to see what he is made of. Momo just doesn't bring me any confidence tbh.

This but Egan Butch in for Hutch. Egan offers a point of difference with leg speed and ball playing around the ruck

Keighran is on the outer, will not play again. Probably off to the Raiders next year. Hutcho is not going anywhere and will be in the squad if fit. His game in the centres was exceptional and will not be surprised if he holds that spot.

I think Egan is versatile enough to offer us cover in a few positions. He is fairly quick and agile, and he has played a bit of 5/8 through the juniors. As good a job as Hutch has done for us in a variety of roles, i think we are strongest with Egan on the bench in his place. Otherwise, the only other change I'd suggest for Keggs team is to possibly split Jazz and Lodge so that one of them is always on the field. I'd maybe start Jazz & Collins and have Lodge & SST off the bench.

Also, for those who don't watch the games, although NAS has been named at prop he has recently been playing right side back row, causing a fair bit of damage running wide. It is a ploy we will need have a plan for, as he will be running at Keary, so Gus will need to be on his game. I'd be making sure one of our middles is also close on hand to add a bigger body to the tackles.

Def don't split lodge and jazz - as a pair they are immense!

I think that is spot on. If Hutch is there it will be at the expense of Momo if he is not fit.
If one of the forwards go down in the first few minutes we are not weakened at all.
If one of the backs go down we have cover with Watson and can even put Crichton in at centre.
If we finish with 17 then that is our strongest line up.

Having said that. If Hutch is on the bench and SST or Butch misses out it is still an extremely strong team only marginally weakened if a forward goes down early imo.

It makes you think what could have been the last couple of years had we had luck with our injuries.

watson can cover if needed in the backs so hutch would be my unlucky player to miss out.
watson, tauks, collins, e butch might be the best bench in the comp

The only point of discussion is who gets the bench spot. Hutch or Egan Butch. If we are going off the course of the season I'd pick Egan. If we are going off last week, I'd pick Hutch. He looked like Mal Meninga at left centre. Egan dropped the ball about 5 times.

Robbo gives the 4th bench spot about 3 mins a game anyway so it doesn't matter.

Momo centre if fit as the combos are already set and he has played good footy the last month or so.

Hutch can't be in the top 17 for the finals.. And definitely not at centre.
