Nah, it was Reebs, John Ribot de Bresac. Still lives down there
They had Bullfrogs fingerprints all over them with his son in law coaching and Brentnall down there.
Along with Facer at the dragons, Arko at Manly and Uncle Nick with us he was one of the great club administrators but I can't imagine any of those blokes help setting up opposition to your own club.

We need to limit the influence Munster has he’s at the top of his game but what I have really disliked about them this season is the penalty milking feigning injury B. Smith did one of the best acting performances in recent memory holding his neck to get a penalty and they scored of the ensuing play I hope we really put them to the sword we just need to play with discipline for the 80 come on boys

      GO EASTS!!!
Been a noticeable difference with Lodge since he's been with us , I can't recall him trying to milk a penalty.

Hopefully he comes through unscathed - had to give him a run here as they (SST as well) need some match fitness before the finals ( should we make it ) I think we will probably see Lindsay only get 30 mins or so - 15 either side of half time I reckon. Nice way to ease him back in. Fingers crossed no head knocks.

Look for Kafusi or NAS to try the old head slam/elbow drop on poor old Lindsay

          • The Broncos and Eels game also has a bearing on the Storm vs Roosters game as the Eels are the only side that can finish in the top 4 in front of the Storm.

Bronco's win then Storm finish top 4 (4th one would say) no matter what happens in their last 2 games - Eels win then the Storm has to win one of their last 2 games - Roosters/Eels.

Not sure I want the Broncos to win though since they play the Dragons last round

The only reason I want the Broncos to win is that, depending on results, there is a better chance of Souths missing out.

If Storm lose last 2 and Roosters win last 2, we would be a chance of overtaking them on for and against.

                  • If NAS or Kafusi try the elbow drop on one of our players, I hope the ref has the balls to send them off- immediately.
I am not in the mood to watch one of our players suffer a season ending injury at the hands of a thug, with the perpetrator just put on report.
That is shades of the low dog Latrell Mitchell- Joey Manu shot last year, which is still fresh in my mind, and I am not ready for a repeat performance.
I don't expect the rest of our team to stand around while the ref ums and ahs about what he needs to do, after an illegal shot.
It is a potentially volatile situation and the Referrees, Annersley, the NRL and Abdo & V"Landy's have an obligation to ensure the safety of the players.
If the refs can't be firm and decisive in these situations, they need to be sacked and replaced with officials who are.
Like I said, its a potentially volatile situation, and if it blows up and gets ugly in front of a vast TV audience, the NRL will have nobody but themselves to blame.

                    • it's going to be close and we're no guarantee to win but covering all possibilities - we'd need to win by at least 30 for us to be a chance of finishing ahead of the storm and make the top 4 but even that would be academic if parra win tonight because they play the storm next week and one of them will get 2pts

                      • Surely every roosters fan is going for the eels??
mid broncos lose tonight and we beat storm it guarantees our spot in the 8

                        • I reckon the best case scenario for us in the run to the finals would be:

                          - Parra beat Drongos this week
                          - Parra lose to the Drizz next week

We beat both the Drizz + Grubs next week.

What this would mean is that:

                          - Parra ends the season at 32 points
                          - Drongos ends the season on 30 points (considering they win their last game)
                          - Drizz can stay top 4
                          - Grubs will finish the season with 30 points (given they win this week)

That means we finish 5th going into the finals. This would mean our run into the finals would look like:

Week 1: Vs Drongos again or the Raiders (5 v 8)
Week 2: Vs loser of 1v4 (which is Riff vs Drizz) lets say it's the Drizz - beating them this week would give us good confidence to vs them in the finals
Week 3: Vs Winner of 2v3 (which is either Cowboys or Sharks) - We basically have a solid chance here against either of the 2
Week 4: Grand Finals against the Riff

I think this is a pretty decent run for us if we can get wins the next 2 weeks.

I hope we see Sua'ali'i take-out NAS and Kaufusi tomorrow night. Nothing I'd love more than seeing him bump them hard.
