still buzzing after last night. What should not be understated is the performance of our captain. OK he didn't run for 200+ meters BUT that first half trysaver on Olam, the try saving tackle late in the 2nd half and lastly the covering up for Sualii who lost the ball after Fusi whacked him. We then soldier up the other end of the field and hold on. I know we all love Teddy but these are the hallmarks of why he is the best in the business

Groin strains are generally 2-3 weeks. He will be back for week 1 or 2 of the finals.
He has had groin issues throughout his career unfortunately

Teddy had a great game. So did Suuali and Lodge. But Collins had two dropped balls and a stolen ball and JWH let us down. They both need to fix up their game as we enter the finals. Toups may be gone for how long I don’t know.

You must be kidding! Without him we don't win that game. The sin bin should be penalty enough. I can't understand how the Storm didn't lose someone for 10 mins as well. Gee had just warned both captains about inciting a melee and whilst JWH gave NAS a facial and accepted his punishment with a smirk, the storm players running in again caused the melee. Gee may as well have said, 'the next melee one of you Roosters will be sitting down'.

NAS gets pinged for 1 forearm to the chest/throat of Sua'ali'i and they let go at least 4 others from him alone not to mention those 2 other p*icks Munster and Kafusi.

Why in the name of fvck do we drop out short when we are up by 4 with 7 to go?

2 reasons I can think of. First we have some decent jumpers that make the contest at least 50/50 if Walker gets it in the right spot. The second is that we were gassed and the best way to keep our defensive structure is not to have to upset it too much. Running 35-40m can open up the defence especially if we don't go up in 1 line.

Regardless, it does nothing but increase my blood pressure!

Robinson said he’s concerned about Daniel Tupou’s groin injury.

For a groin strain best case scenario would be a grade 1 which would have him back 2nd week of the finals.

Grade 1: 1-3wks Grade 2: 3-6wks Grade 3: 6+wks

I seem to remember Tupou’s only real injury previously being a groin strain as well, I remember he came back and we thought he did it again but only tore the scar tissue. Am I remembering that correctly?

He had a syndesmosis injury a few years back.

Such a relief getting that win. The big question now is do we rest any players. Last time we did it against Souffs we got destroyed.

In normal circumstances, I get it however when you are up by just 4 with a few minutes to go, it’s a very low percentage play. A broken line from a short kickoff imo is more risky than one from 50 out.

I guess I’m too old school and not yet used to the mentality of this new tactic.
