  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Storm

It’s been a long week. No more sleeps!

Finally we get the chance to see where we’re really at. Some would argue that we haven’t beaten any quality opposition over the past 6 weeks. You can only play what’s in front of you. Tonight is our real test.

Our prop rotation is as good as I’ve ever seen. If the forwards play to their potential we won’t be beaten. We need to ambush them. The stakes are high. A win guarantees us a semi final spot. There’s so much to play for.

I haven’t been this excited about a game for a long time. C’mon Roosters, let’s put this competition on notice, let everyone know we’re here to play and burn these mofos.

    GO ROOSTERS!

Happy game day everybody! This is a big test for the team members who haven't played down there before. But Trent and the Coach Whisperer seem to know what they are doing. Here's hoping the thumping sounds of JS & JWH leading the team song down there haunt the corridors of AAMI Park..Prince had a song called Seven..'All seven and we watch them fall"

    Here's to 7 in a row...

Be interesting to see how our prop rotation plays out against Munster / Cheese / Grant...etc.

While full-strength, we're an untested full-strength. Drizz are without Pap (a massive omission IMO, though I haven't been monitoring Meaney).

I hope we show them what we're capable of as I reckon it's time for us to stand up.

We'll be beaten if Suaalii, and Manu for that matter, let tries in down their wing.

The boys have been in Melbourne since Wednesday to get ready for this game, I’m confident we will make a statement!

"Friday night is a great night for football" Anyone remember that song from c9 coverage in the mid 90's? I got it in my head now. Lol

The most important game of the season. Absolute must win. Win tonight secures our spot. Lose and we will have to spend the next 7 nights stressing about the probable elimintor vs souffs

                  Win quite comfortably?
I hope so, but...Storm are favourites, the money is on the Storm.
Storm home game, the world hates us, our playing style doesn't seem to suit any referees, and we very rarely beat the Storm.
If we win it will be a miracle.
                  Miracles do happen though.
If we pIay our very best and mistake-free footy we're in with a good chance.

I’ve got to be realistic here. We’ve got the best chance we’ve had in a long, long time of tossing the storm. We are playing for our season and the storm are playing for 4th spot. I’d love us to win and seal our top 8 position and I’m hoping for a miracle here because the storm are good, real good and will be just as hungry as we are for the win. But I’m prepping myself for a loss because this is the storm not the tigers. Still counting on one Raiders loss to get us past the post.

No miracle needed. We are well up for this and I expect a win. No excuses.

                          Enjoy the game peoples!

                          We will win.

I love the way we match up tonight.

Their pack won't hold us and our backs are another level.

I've never been so confident in a game where we are 'outsiders'. The bookies have it wrong tonight.

I'm on us H2H into us to make the GF, ching ching
