Basically having to win these last two games to make the finals is a very very valuable lesson...about the folly of not being ready to play our best winning footy from kick off in the first match of the season.
"Covid and injuries" could be used an excuse for this season, but not next season and beyond.

The season is on the line.
JWH, Lodge, SST, Collins, no other team comes close to having 4 QUALITY front rowers like the Chooks have got. JWH, Lodge & Radley are genuine tough, rough dirty players & they need to rough this Melbourne team up tonight. Suaalii & Toups are like another 2 front rowers who are tough farkers, with those 6 dominating the rest of the team can play some good footy & I think get over Melbourne.
I always give Melbourne credit because they have a real hardarse coach who gets his team playing hard rough dirty footy & that’s what footy is about.
Im excited about watching the Chooks playing top quality opposition, all the best to all the players, let’s get it on.
Go the MIGHTY ROOSTERS

I've said for about a month that we're going to win this game, and I won't back down from it.
It's time to remind them what happens when we have an actual healthy squad playing them. Don't get it twisted; they haven't played us with a squad this strong since 2019.
I'm looking to the big four: Tauks, JWH, Collins and Lodge to be relentless and surging for 80 minutes, and for Keary to make use of the field position. The front row rotation, and Keary, are my key components for the game.
Only hesitation is if the Roosters are "too" aggressive, and drop a few balls while being overeager, and giving away a full penalties racing off their line.
I don't see it, though. I think we're going to absolutely relish the challenge tonight, and I almost like that it's being played in Melbourne.
Chooks by 14.
Up the mighty Roosters.

The Storm are also going to defensively test over and over both Walker and Keary.

My tip for tonite is that the Roosters will drop the ball a few times from being overeager.
It won't matter, because our defence will be up in the Storm's face.
Our side will be aggressive - and I think the recent trend of the Rooster forwards scoring more tries than the backs, will continue.

Trent Robinson has finalised the side to take on the Melbourne Storm in tonight's Round 24 match at AAMI Park.
One change has been made to the side to take the field, with Drew Hutchison starting in the centres in jersey no.18, while second rower Nat Butcher will play his 100th game for the Club, fresh off a four-try haul last week.
