JWH needs to play the way he does otherwise his name would Aiden Tolman or Aaron Woods.

No one in the last 15-20 years has played like him except for Boyd, and before that it was Morley, whose nrl career was cut short by being targeted by the refs

    • How good’s it seeing Raiders and Souths get up and it means big fat nothing to us now! Yes boys, still loving last night!

The very definition of genuine hard men owning a fake hard man.

How about the faked eye gouge moment when Jared treated him like a concubine? He should play for the Brazilian soccer team.
I genuinely thought there were times last night that NAS actually looked scared.......he is so used to being the bully because of his size, but Rads, JWH and Lodge took everything he had and gave it back with interest. If we meet them again in the finals NAS might need to wear Depends!!

        • Interesting statiscs (based on NRL.com game summary),

Roosters had 53% possession across the game, skewed by the fact that Melbourne had most of the ball for the last 15 minutes.

Easts received 71% of 6 agains (5 of 7), I find it incongruous that we received only 39% of penalties (7 of 18). The leg ups received by Melbourne were massive.

Dare say most of our 6 agains were on the first tackle, inside their 20 (i.e. shoulda been penalties / sin-bins instead).

Regardless, it does nothing but increase my blood pressure!
Seems to be a widely held belief amongst the teams now that it's easier to hold your defensive structure for 6 tackles on your line than from 30 meters out(- drop out that goes 50 on the fly is still tackled on the 30) - if not easier just the same and with the short drop out you have a 50/50 of getting the ball back - some would say greater because if we know it's short and they don't it's an advantage.

I get it - put it into probabilities- say it's 50/50 to hold them out from 10 out and 30 out but with the longer kick you are zero chance of getting the ball back its then 50% chance they score. Now say it's the same 50/50 from 10 out they score but now we are 50/50 of getting the ball back then it's only 25% chance they score. I like that logic.

Yet the general consensus on social media was that the ref looked after us.....go figure!

Whilst doing so he was having a laugh with Victor - no story there at all.

                      • They mentioned on fox that the roosters/storm match was the biggest watched Friday night match ever? Unless I misheard that, it’s pretty impressive for the two most hated clubs in the league.

                        • Melbourne are looking very haggard tonight..and the crowd do not like Nelson..48 seconds into the game and he was being booed...

                          • Watching the Storm play tonight, seemed like they wanted to loose the match.

                            Just saying.

Even Munster missing that goal that would of put them within 6 seemed odd.

So they can play Canberra at home who have a decent record down there? Nah, doubt it.
