If Storm win they finish 4th and the winner out of the Roosters vs Souths game will Finish 5th and will more than likely will play Raiders in week 1 of the finals - both Roosters and Souths have a superior for and against than Parra
If Parra win then yes Roosters and Souths will play back to back (final round and week 1 of the finals) as one will finish 6th and other 7th as the Storm have a superior for and against and would finish 5th.
Parra are a very physical team and have no fear of Storm or Penrith as recent history will show they have the wood over both of them.
Correct me if I’m wrong King but I’m pretty sure Parra have won the last 4 encounters vs Storm and 4 of the last 5 encounters vs Penrith, top 4 spot up for grabs I can’t see Parra losing Melbourne are licking their wounds (so are we).
Canberra have found form albeit against nuff teams they will win next week so all the more important for us to keep this winning streak going.

Since 2020
Parra are 3-4 vs Penrith and have the game to beat them - vs Penrith through the middle/angle runs and offloads trouble Penrith as they love it when teams play sideline to sideline and try to run around them - 2021 2 of Parra losses vs Penrith where 13-12 and 8-6
Parra are 3-1 vs Storm- vs Storm they move the ball and avoid the middle as that is what the Storm want teams to do play through the middle - they can slow down the oppositions attack
Parra are 0 - 6 vs Souths - Just haven't a game that troubles them for what ever reason - mmm the Roosters either so far- since 2020 Roosters are 1-4 vs Souths (lost last 4)Last edited by King Salvo; 08-29-2022, 06:22 PM.

This game is a bit tricky in what squad will be selected since they have to cut the squad down to 19 players 24 hours before kickoff.
If Parra win on the Thursday the highest either team could finish is 6th and a home final is not really an advantage one has to say.
If the game was 48 hours after the Parra vs Storm game some players would be rested if Parra win as why bash yourself up when the main game is the week after.
Be interesting to see what squads both teams pick and if any players are rested despite not knowing the outcome of the Parra vs Storm game where there is a chance of finishing 5th should the Storm win.
Whether you finish 5/6/7 or 8th you are all in the same position needing to win that game first week of the finals to advance to week 2.

I think the Storm/ Eels game will be another bash/ smash up derby in the forwards.
If the Eels lose that game, I can see the value of us beating Souffs this Friday.
I would not want to meet the Eels in the first elimination Semi - they are too physical , and playing some good football as well.
I much prefer to meet the Raiders, who are much softer in the middle of the field.

Game on....
‘Do people even know Suaalii was at Souths?’ Tedesco fires first shot - Source SMH
James Tedesco has fired the first shot at bitter rivals South Sydney ahead of their final-round clash on Friday.
The Allianz Stadium blockbuster will mark the first time Tedesco’s Roosters teammate Joseph Suaalii comes up against his former club, having come through Souths’ juniors before joining the tricolours.
But Tedesco played down the young star’s time at Redfern, asking, “Do people even know Joseph Suaalii was at Souths?”
The Rabbitohs offered Suaalii one of the richest deals ever put to a teenager at the time, but were not prepared to include an exit clause in his contract. The Roosters had no such misgivings, and the rising star opted to join the Rabbitohs’ hated rivals.
Souths fans will be well aware of what Suaalii did for their club in the junior grades, but Tedesco was grateful it had been the Roosters who gave him his actual start in first grade.
Suaalii missed the round-three clash this year, which was won by Souths 26-12, because of a foot injury, and did not feature against them during his five games last season.Joseph Suaalii as a teenager at South Sydney and first-grade star with the Roosters.
“Do people even know Joseph Suaalii was at Souths?” Tedesco asked on Monday. “I didn’t think of that. I’m sure they [Souths] will make something of it.
“He’s so good to have in our team, it’s so good to see how he has developed as a player. He’s got such a good head on his shoulders. He will be such a great player for the future and I’m glad he’s in our team.
“Joey has got better every week and he still surprises me with some of the stuff he comes up with. He will enjoy this game.”
Tedesco said the Roosters were always going to benefit from adopting an ultra-conservative approach with Suaalii and not rushing him into first grade, even though he would have been physically ready at the start of last season in what was his first year at the Bondi club.
“I think wherever Joey would have gone, he was going to succeed because he’s always keen to learn and is a great athlete,” Tedesco said.
Suaalii switched from the right wing to the left after Daniel Tupou hobbled off with injury last Friday against Melbourne, and proved just as effective on the other side of the field.
There has been no shortage of bad blood between Souths and the Roosters in recent years, including Latrell Mitchell’s infamous hit on Joey Manu 12 months ago.
Mitchell played against the Roosters in round three, and has been a powerhouse since his return from the US two months ago.
“I’m sure he [Mitchell] will be fired up, he’s similar to Jared [Waerea-Hargreaves] where it’s a big game and you know he weill step up and assert his dominance,” Tedesco said.

“A big part of our defence will be trying to shut down Latrell and Cody Walker. You don’t want to bring too much emotion into it. We’ve done it before and lost our way.”
Waerea-Hargreaves will be primed for a physical game against Souths, and his running first-half battle with Nelson Asofa-Solomona at AAMI Park was one of the season’s highlights.
“‘Robbo’ [coach Trent Robinson] spoke to us about Jared being a guy who doesn’t take a backward step, he will stand up to the biggest and strongest players, and that gives us a lot of motivation and confidence watching him as a leader [go out and] lead,” Tedesco said. “He’s not a guy who picks out the smallest player, he’ll take on the biggest guy and lead by example.”
