  • Cloey Crocs and Bondi United

Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere (apologies if so), but the Clovelly Under 17's and Bondi United under 18's both won their Grand Finals yesterday in their respective Sydney conference competitions - both Division 1/Gold as well.

Both sides were down early but fought back to win. Some good scenes on Instagram and (I assume as I'm not on it) FaceBook. Cloey boys sang the Rooster team song after the win. Warms the heart.

Great achievement from both clubs - we have a very small junior base but constantly punch above our weight.

Congratulations to both clubs. I lived in Clovelly for 4 years and Bondi United are my closest home team now. Thirteen also posted that his son's team also won, so congratulations to them also.

I believe in quality and not quantity anyway..

The Crocs were the best years of my childhood. Played with them from 1980-88.
Congrats to the Crocs on the win

Crocs 17s gf was a cracker! Down 14-0 at halftime, with a shocker of a ref, the lads had to dig deep & find a way, & they did… young gun Cooper Toy crossing over for the match winner with 3mins to go… congratulations young Crocs & the Bondi boys, getting the job done! RWB!

Cooper has played the past two season in Harold Matthews Cup so I assume he will be playing SG Ball next season. Any other Matts players playing in that team/comp ?

The ones I recognised throughout the HM season… Mitchell, Fiedel, De lisle, Roberts, Stevenson-Hala, Va’a & a couple more I think…

Oh wow..I'm all for preparing for adulthood but that is just incredible..they'll all slot nicely into first grade with that experience.

I missed you by a few years then. I lived there from 1992 to 1996. Life was so simple back then and we had the time of our lives. Great memories.
