Reports, you really think the 19 year old currently on big money didn’t come here because of the big money?

Oh reports? Ok then. Who knows what other factors might play a part in the decisions he makes about things. Not you or I.

He's a star already, model looks, they'd easily get their money back and then some.
          Sponsors would be rolling in.
Union needs a revamp...first thing, they should lose 2 men a side, too many players on the field.
And he's big to boot BB at least 2m a year hey

The $10m is guaranteed, no matter if he suffers a career-ending injury?
If so, he really has to take the $10m, doesn't he?
            BB are you special needs?

Not big enough for Bondi Boy he's only 98kg according to his profile which is what Aubo weighed which I find hard to believe.
I take listed weights of athletes with a grain of salt, Serena Williams is 70kg apparently which I would have thought one of her drumsticks weighed.

Why? Because it's bigger amounts in golf? It's all relative.

                  $1mill is to $2mill as $10mill is to $20mill

                  etc etc

                  exactly the same.

The paper today said that Souths actually offered him more than us but we were happy to accept the player option clauses, and that's what clinched the deal.

Also, to original story stated that RA has him on their hit list (along with a bunch of others including Latrell, Murray & Turbo), and it had been suggested to them that it would likey cost them 10m over 5 years to get him .... it was never suggested that offer was on the table.

Ah no it's not - the diff between 1 and 2 is 1. The diff between 10 and 20 is 10. Also it's not 10 and 20 for the top end it's 50 and 150.

So that's an increase of $100 million that some golfers are saying "No" to. Proves my point even more - not everyone will just "take the money"

Yeah yeah ... where there is smoke there is fire but whatever ... if Union do have the money (contract) then come out and show us your cards. Go on ... flex !

                            I call BS !
Heard on NRL 360 yesterday that one of the journos had spoken to RA CEO and he confirmed the interest and the big bucks. So not a real rumour.

He could always insure himself for $10m

It just seems crazy to me, that a shithouse game like Rugby Union can somehow attract players from League by offering them megabucks. It's a garbage game, Australia is hopeless and no-one watches it. Rugby 7s is far more entertaining. Are there many players who continue a career in Rugby once they've hung up the boots? Ex League players are a dime a dozen in the media once they've retired. I'm sure if JS stayed at Easts, his earnings could be padded out with a few extra-curricular sweeteners.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

As Lois Griffin said on Family Guy about Serena; 'that monster who plays tennis'.
