    24 MAN SQUAD v SOUTHS

What a bloody great game last week. Brutal. I f'ing loved it!!! Now, if we went in to this game with the same squad I'd be VERY confident, but with a few ommissions this could go either way. I'm just never comfortable going into a game with this mob - it's just too damn important to me, and I always get nervous as hell.

A few changes forced on us with the injuries and suspension from last week. We still look strong, and I'm sure will start strong, but the bench is just not so formidable compared to last start.

Souffs have named Havilli ( a prop) at hooker, to replace Cook.
      They know what is coming.

Momo straight in for Tupou causes the least disruption so that’s alright but it’s a relatively weak bench.

we've still got a strong 17. obviously you'd be more confident with toops, rads and lindsay playing but we'll go okay. i like tauks starting at lock. i might have gone for both joeys on the wing but with souths left edge attack being their main weapon maybe it makes sense to have them together on the right

I reckon Manu will move in there for kick returns

Besides Baker on the bench, looks pretty solid. Tauks and Jared can play big minutes...

ehhh im not liking how that left side is going to defend, drew moves like a cruise ship and momo has proven time and time again he cant catch high balls.

but what can you do when you have the roosters injury luck.

bench isnt looking the absolute best either. that stellar team we had won week couldve won the comp if it stayed fit.

Interesting that Penrith are resting 12 players this week vs Cowboys as in 1997 when Gould did the same the NSWRL forced the Roosters to include 5 or 6 of them in the revised team- last round game vs Norths who the Roosters also played in the first week of the finals.

That left side looks very vulnerable, maybe Suaalii to left wing and Manu to right wing with Momo at right centre could be an option.
Doesn't look like much resting of players from either line up, should be a beauty.

either way you'd have to say the cowboys will win, which is significant cos if they lose and storm win then cowboys finish 4th. we just want to win every game but if we did lose this week, but win the week after, chances are we'd play cowboys the following week, which would be good, but we'll just be concentrating on ourselves and trying to win every game

See what happens after Thursday night's game.
If Storm win then 5th spot is up for grabs.
Parra win then we play two weeks in a row. Does it really matter where?
Already talk that Trell not playing.

Love it!!! Hope we smack them outta the park in the first 20-30 minutes and allow ourselves to put the cue in the rack early (avoid the emotion/niggle... let Nicholls/FakeHoneyBadger/Burgess try their shyte with May/Baker while JWH sits on the sideline laughing at them.

Next week we can play them again at home with Rads and (possibly Toops) back. IMO we're the better team and they're not running through our middle with JWH/Lodge/Tauks on guard.

I think this is the best option. South’s attack from their left most of the time. Leaving the 2 Joeys out there & not changing their defensive positioning is stronger than shuffling them around.
yes, Hutchinson is slow but he’s a good defender & should be used as a long kicking option to take some of the pressure off Sam Walker. On paper, we’re a better side, on form, we’re playing better. Opening our new house in front of a sellout crowd, Robbo will want this win for the record books & the chance to host again next week.
                              Cautiously optimistic.
