I don't give a toss TBH. I just wanna see us keep playing our current standard of footy no matter who we're up against,

If we play shyte footy then the Bulldogs, Knights and Dragons will beat us (doesn't have to be a 'good' team). Play good footy and the results will take care of themselves no matter who we're playing.

Good footy doesn't involve getting all emotional about a bunch of tossers who belong in a boyband, thugs who belong in prison and grubs who belong in a queue for Cenno.

If Souffs (without the Cook) are a serious worry for us then we're not premiership material. Fark Souffs! They're not the gold standard this season... they're not even above us on the ladder despite getting a cr@p load of help from the refs every week.

every team from 2nd to 7th can still move on the ladder, so depending on results, we could play any of Souths/parra/raiders.

IMO it really doesn't matter who we play.

Souffs, Faders, Eels, Drongos, Drizz... whatever! We'll focus on playing good footy and should be good enough to beat all of 'em.

Interesting that Penrith are resting 12 players this week vs Cowboys as in 1997 when Gould did the same the NSWRL forced the Roosters to include 5 or 6 of them in the revised team- last round game vs Norths who the Roosters also played in the first week of the finals.

I don’t think there has ever been such an undecided top 8 since it’s inception.

Eels would have to beat the storm by 70 plus and we would need to lose by even more for that to happen and I can't really see either of those things happening.

I think the 8 will remain as is, the only thing to be decided is the order of 4 to 7.

Whilst it would have been great to see Souths miss the 8, IMO the next best thing is that the Broncos miss out.

I just don't wanna play our GF this Fri. In the end we're not jumping into a top 4 so finals give us 1 bite, lose that and that's the season.

Me, I'd wanna go into the finals with a fresh group of blokes that get over niggles.

But that's just me and yeah I get the rivalry but the vermin are a dirty bakers dozen. Let them lap us as long as we're still alive in the finals cause that's what counts.

The team last week could of stayed undefeated & won the comp IMO.
3 top quality players out has me thinking the Chooks are gonna get done.
Its such a shame but that’s footy.
As much as I love Latrell I hope the Roosters can contain him.
Souths play harder against the Chooks then they do against any other team
& they will want to so badly beat us at the new ground.
The best game Ive ever seen was when the Chooks beating Souths in the 2018 preliminary final without Latrell & JWH I think it was.
Its still a good side the Chooks have got but we have 5 top line players out so it’s a big ask.

Why? It's almost a dead-rubber.
Would you prefer to win Friday night if it meant that by not resting our players, our chances to win in week 1 of the finals is lower?

No-one will remember who wins this game if we play in week 1 of the finals. That's the game that matters.
Remember when Souths beat us in the final round of 2019? Does anyone care about that, considering we annihilated them in 20 minutes the following week?
