On Friday night, we begin a new chapter in Roosters heartland. Where we've always been. Welcome home.

I already posted that but it's worth posting again.

Let’s take a moment to remember Super League, and News Limited’s trumped up criteria to boot out Souths, us or any other foundation club based on crowd numbers.

Look at your Broncos now, Ribot.

A sell out new stadium with two inner city Sydney clubs is a proud day for the ARL.

            No brains all right...

            Source: NRL website

"South Sydney centre Campbell Graham has called for the club to return to Allianz Stadium for home games as they prepare to take on the Sydney Roosters in Friday night’s opening NRL match at the rebuilt 45,000 seat venue.

The NRL’s oldest club played most home games at Moore Park for the first 40 years of their existence until relocating to Redfern Oval in 1948, and then returned when the Sydney Football Stadium was opened in 1988.

Despite moving to Sydney’s Olympic Stadium - now known as Accor Stadium - in 2006, the Rabbitohs have continued to train at Redfern and from next year will be based at the Heffron Centre in nearby Maroubra.

“Olympic Park has been a great home for us when we have been there, and I do love playing out there, as well, but to have our home stadium in South Sydney or close to South Sydney just makes perfect sense to me,” Graham said.

“I know personally, and from talking to friends and fans in the area, they would be much more inclined to go to games if we are playing there. I think we would draw a bigger crowd for every single game, so I think it is a no-brainer.”

When they moved to Olympic Park in 2006, their line was "most of our supporters are out west now no longer in Redfern. So I guess most must've moved back to the east over the past 15 years ?

Souths continue to complain about the Roosters refusing to give them one of their two allocated training sessions at the stadium.

“It would have been nice, but you’re asking the Roosters to be nice, and from my experience, that’s not going to happen,” Demetriou said.

So all this complaining about captains runs was actually them wanting our club to give up our own training time so they could have it? These grubs have no shame they are pathetic

mate, your spot on . brisbane thought they were bigger then the game in the 90s, those premierships won with origin teams .

people on here wonder why i hate them more then any other team, that is why, melbourne are second from bottom.

the 2 news ltd babes are eviler then souffs could ever hope to be.

long may both of them dwell outside the 8, brisbane especially for the damage they bought to the game with super league.

Yes Im sure the Riff would allow you to train at Penny Park before you play them there, Sharks wouldnt have a problem giving you a training run at Shark park before you play them there etc etc. No doubt the Vermin wouldnt have a problem with us requesting a training run at the new Heffron park facilities ? Friday's game is still a standard competition game last time I looked, so why should the Roosters give up their limited time on the ground to make the whingers happy ? no doubt it wouldnt be reciprocated if the roles were reversed.
If it were preceding a semi final at Allianz, then Souffs would be entitled to have training time at the ground, but for a comp game ...they have no entitlement ! even if the Ray Hadley wannabe Mark Levy thinks so !
